Hi all,
1/2 $5 bring in plo5, we flat an action player’s open otb with QQ873ds in the bb and we are four ways with the utg straddler sb and btn.
($60): Q94r. One bdfd for us. Sb checks, we check, V in straddle bets $60, loose player who raised flats otb, sb flats and we are $1,350 eff. and c/r to $360, and straddle and btn flat and sb folds.
Turn ($1140): Jr no flush draw. We check and straddler goes all in for $1,100, btn calls for $200 and it’s on us. Neither of these players can be described as nits by any means but this is probably the single worst card in the deck for our hand. We have to call $900 for a side pot against potentially a straight with no K or T in our hand.
I wonder if we should flat flop or just get it in on the turn and not take our foot off the pedal trying to get value from two pair and sets?
Thanks,
DT
