Cant check this back its too much equity on the flop vs a limp/call range. Additionally vs a fish we should be able to play this fairly effectively on future streets.
Anyways, the turn is a clear check. Think of it this way: how many streets of value is this hand worth? If it’s worth 3 then go ahead and bomb it.
But usually Q hi flush here after the flop is worth only one more bet, which we can still easily get on the river. Additional benefits: we catch some bluffs and pot control vs better flushes.
Also, since you bet the turn just half pot, I guess you were planning to bet like 1/3rd otr when checked to. But notice how that is not actually extracting any more chips than checking turn and potting river. So you get all the downsides from betting the turn without any upside.
