5/5/25, Hero calls a co open in hj with T9765ss and we go three ways to:
Q86r. We flop bottom pair and a wrap. The preflop raiser bets pot $300. He has $425 behind. Hero? We are not that deep with the button either maybe a little more.
I just call. The reasoning being when we win it will almost always be we hit the straight and it held so the more people drawing the better. If we hit on the turn the extremely low SPR vs original better and other possible player make it very likely they will call us down so we are unlikely to be giving up anything by not raising. And it is possible albeit not likely that if we miss the turn we might get a free card so if we completely miss we save the last bet. With 20 outs potentially(the T is not the nut straight but the others are) I want to invite the other player in not drive them out.
For the stack sizes, I probably just pot it. Call is OK, but I don't want to face a blank turn or something that gives BTN an edge, and I don't like "slow playing" in these spots.
Flop I can't decide between potting and calling (though leaning toward potting) but I think the key takeaway would be that the hand is simply a fold pre.
