edges may be lower in terms of bb/100 but not necessarily in terms of hourly...

I would support straddles. Or maybe even addition of a 3blind game at stakes? Maybe have deepstack say 1/2/4 tables or something.

We should be trying to create an environment as close to a live game setting as possible. With all the bells and whistles, minus the drink service. Its 100% what fish want, we should be trying to cater to that...

If this is real and pokerstar charges 2.5% on cashout now to convert from USD to CAD, with no warning ? It needs to be of a high priority. Its very close to stealing.

yeh high up the list how they can do this. such a money grab. They take a roughly 2.5% of winning players profits extra and are taking liquidity out of the market by taking more of losing players deposits its an absolute joke.

Haha so you went to a players meeting and they didn't care to tell you about something that directly affects the very people they want to be 'in contact with'?

hahahahahahahahaha

They should've told me about something they were gonna do a week after the meetings without prior notice? What would be the point? They clearly weren't interested in any feedback as the reaction was quite foreseeable.

Somehow I feel there's nothing to gain through reasoning with you...

ofc they should tell you, even when it was already fix that they´ll change!

I mean you sit there together talk about the players-concerns and they don't even have the 30 seconds to tell - "btw furthermore we´ll have a major change in the cashout-process, reason we do this are: ...! We think we should tell you this before it gets public in a couple days!"

if you don't think this should be named on the meeting I really have serious doubts bout your social skills. this is just a respect-question imo.

stop blaming him, its PS responsability to inform these, not ggarj to take a guess for future changes to inform us

At the very least it was very bad timing if you keep in mind how those meetings are perceived on here.

Maybe it was an unavoidable money grab attempt by Amaya, tho as I said bad timing or they could at least have acted like they would want feedback on it.

Anyways looking forward to the TR.

my "social skills"? right...

Sure, it wudda been nice if they mentioned this at the meetings, but let me re-iterate: why would they inform me on a change they don't want feedback on, and will launch without prior notice to the players? Just so I could say I was "in the know"?

Sent TR for review roughly 18hrs ago, fingers crossed Steve won't leave it for Monday to go through.

respect, bro, respect!

if they really care about you(as the players-represent) they should treat you like someone they respect, and if they do this changes which are obv rly bad for the group you represent and you are suddenly at the office a couple of days before they make the changes, then why not at least inform you about it and show you some respect!
Then at least you could post smth like "Hi guys, just arrived home, can´t tell much so far but one thing is, there will be some changes which probably the majority of you will not like, will get public in a few days and i can't tell more right now, sry!"

and yeah "social skills" is probably wrong word here, not my native language, what i mean is i doubt that you know how ppl in a kind of business relationship should treat each other, if you don't see the reasons why they should inform you while you´re there about this upcoming change!

Fair enough, it's not a totally negligible angle, but tbh I don't really feel slighted in this spot for the reasons mentioned above.

This stuff doesn't really concern the pokerroom/software staff who took part in the meetings, so this doesn't come off as "how could you look me in the eye knowing this and not tell me...?". Clearly something senior management, business intelligence, etc had cooked up

People itt seem to misunderstand that this is isn't a meeting between business partners, it's a marketing focus group.

Blog post VERY vaguely justifying the FX charges. They are working really hard to pass it under the radar it seems, and will in all likelihood not care at all for any negative feedback (even mountains of it).

That said the blog post, reading between the lines, more or less says:

"hey guys, you will all be paying for our spin n go development and mass marketing expenses. kthxbye"

Not that their "roulette" profits should pay for its own development and marketing or anything. Can't blame an effective monopolist to abuse their established position over the long run I guess

Were you aware of the Spin and Go's to be implemented when you went in May?

I like to think of it as bankroll management. The choices we make today aren't for short term gain; they're made because we believe they're the right thing for tomorrow.

I didn't. I remember there being some talk about a new SNG-format they were looking into with a varying prize pool, I think it was related to a discussion on what kind of promotions recreationals would like (chance for a big prize, instant gratification). Didn't think much of it at the time, and made no mention of this in my report in May.
