I am a micro stakes PLO player who plays recreationally on bovada. I am looking to improve my game. I have a limited amount of money to spend and am trying to figure out what the best way to improve. Should I buy Omaha manager which I would only be able to use to track my stats and review hand histories or should I spend it on a training site. Also what is the best training site for PLO. I tried searching but could only find posts from a few years ago.

You can hit both targets: Runitonce essential subscription is only $10 a month, while Pokeit offers to store a 10K-hand database for free (its sister software FPDB can of course store as many hands as you wish but is a bit less functional).

Yeap, as said above RIO is very good value for 10$ a month. Plus, both Omaha Manager and Poker Tracker come with 30 day trials so you can have tracking software for free for 2 months and after that hopefully you'll have made enough monies to purchase the one you like the most.

Both opponents are prone to putting large % of their stacks in with marginal holdings ( Bt 4bai QT86ds vs utg).

I actually prefer c/c as you may well be up against dominating draws and don't wanna get raised. You also don't mind if the flop checks through.

1. Thoughts on checking back here? Given that near half the deck OTT gives us a very +Ev call or raise, plus getting xR OTF would be unfortunate.

UTG: $4.86
MP: $18.58
Hero (CO): $5.00
BTN: $6.36
SB: $7.49
BB: $3.57

fold, MP calls $0.04, Hero raises to $0.18, fold, fold, BB calls $0.14, MP calls $0.14

Flop : ($0.56, 3 players) 5 Q 3

2.Too deep/weak to 4b vs 8% 3bet?

SB: $4.56
BB: $4.30
Hero (CO): $7.88
BTN: $14.15

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.04

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.06) Hero has A T A 3
Hero raises to $0.14, BTN raises to $0.48,

1. Checking back is fine, but if they're both really passive, c-bet is good

2. Def 4bet, especially OOP. SPR will be ~2 OTF so you can ship most of them profitably. Villains at micros make so many mistakes pre that there's nothing wrong with pushing your equity here.

Couldn't think of a better place to put this so here it goes:

I've just gotten back into SSPLO (25PLO-50PLO) online and I'm taking a trip to Vegas. I've got $3k to play with and am staying at MGM (middle of everything). My questions are--what casino has the most action at the games I should be playing (6max PLO cash) and what stakes should I play? I was thinking that I'd only sit with $500 or so at a time and play $1/2 or 1$/3. Is this the plan you guys would endorse/use yourself?
I don't want to sit with all $3k at once, plus I doubt there will be many tables to choose from at that level, so am I going to have trouble finding $500-1k cash tables for PLO 6max?
TIA

I suggest you try the High Stakes PLO LC-thread, regs there have way more Vegas experience. Brick & Mortar forum good too.

Plan sounds ok to me, you could prob even buy in for 100bb to reduce variance

That was another question I had, and I'm glad you hit on it. I feel comfortable deep stacked, but don't know if the tables that are regularly running have max buy ins or if you guys think to reduce variance I should play 50BB deep?
If mods don't mind moving my original post to a better category, by all means please do!

I'd say you should try to play as deep as your roll allows in live poker, since ur edge is bound to be huge vs the fish. SSing is for gaining an edge vs other regs and managing a low roll.
