Is there any way for me to track how I am doing at PLO zoom on pokerstars apart from tediously having to write down win/loss each session, or do I have to buy a database program. Already bought PT4 for holdem and id rather not buy it for PLO yet.

stars does not offer any native win/loss overview. you would need a database program. PT4 has a small stakes license for omaha for 60 bucks. there are some other trackers though which might be cheaper. there also used to be 1 or 2 free tracker softwares out there but im not sure if they are still available and and running.

which tracker does support 5 card plo? i own hm 2 and know that isn´t working. couldn´t find anything on the hm3 homepage..... pokertracker4?

Longtime hold em player transitioning to 6-max PLO on some private app stuff. So far I'm playing fairly tight (especially compared to the competition, who often have vpips of 50+) and doing pretty well.

My question is what are the PLO vpip/pfr benchmarks, i.e. how in NLHE a tightish reg would be something like 20/18, and a LAG would be more like 28/25, and alarm bells start going off once VPIP goes over like 30, or if there's a ~6 point gap between VPIP and PFR

Andreas Frohli is the newish Essential PLO coach; I don't know his videos well (this free month is the first RIO video access I've had in many months).

I thought Nick Johnson was doing good Essential PLO videos. He literally has a "Transitioning from NLHE to PLO" series, too, so.

Galfond has some Essential videos, but—as much as I like and respect him—I honestly find myself disagreeing with his thought process really often.

Tom Coldwell's name is all over the PLO Learning Paths, but my very distant memory of his stuff is that it's perhaps outdated. I may be wrong.

Don't know for sure if his is the right place to ask, But seeing as a play just PLO I thought someone here would probably have some info I'm looking for. I play on Ignition,ACR and Global mostly 10 PLO and 25 PLO . Really want to take advantage of the extra time(Furloughed because of the virus) I have at the moment and plug some leaks. Just need to know the best tracking software for PLO players and if they would work on the sites I'm playing on.

Question about .5/1 and 1/2 PLO on pokerbros/pppoker:

So a lot of the games around my area have converted to these apps during this quarantine, and PLO is getting a lot more action than holdem.

I've been watching/reading a lot of PLO videos and articles for the past few weeks and been a slight winner.

However, in these games people will rarely fold to a bet preflop, so I'm wondering if there's any point in raising preflop as opposed to just limping in? There's always action post flop and it can get pretty spew-y, so I don't think it's necessary to bloat the pot before seeing the flop - is my line of thinking correct?

If I'm shortstacked and have AAxx, I may limp and 3bet jam over the top for essentially a weighted coinflip in my favor, otherwise I'm just setmining with my aces.

3betting does thin the numbers preflop, but I feel like there's rarely preflop bets due to the issue I mentioned with everyone just cold calling with everything, although one regular who does know what he's doing will always bet the preflop on his button, and I'm not sure if 3betting against him is ideal since I'll always be playing against him OOP against a more experienced PLO player.

I'm fairly tight passive preflop in this game, so when the board does hit me I'll usually have the nut draw, but I'm wondering if this strategy is optimal in regards to the table dynamics?

does anyone have any recent experience playing 50plo on ignition? Ive done most of my volume on ACR, which usually has 6+ tables of 100 plo going, but thats a little higher than what im comfortable with and would prefer to 4-6 table 50 plo. Unfortunately for whatever reason, 50 plo very rarely runs on ACR, especially in comparison to number of games going at 100. Is it possible to get 4 tables going throughout the day on ignition at 50 plo, or will it be a lot of waiting/playing hu tables?
