yup, the 3bet tells me he has a strong hand and hands with a dangler aren't, so fold.

and even if you called the 3 bet, absolutely fold to the button's 4bet.
no way I'm getting involved w/o a premium hand.
your hand is no where close to premium.

Hi folks I am new to the forum and PLO. I have started to play micro HUPLO and have donned a few buy ins so far but I am having fun. Where do I start? I want to play the GTO game like sauce or tollerene. I am reading Mathematics of Poker at the moment. Anything is helpful.

I'm not entirely sure but is a gto approach at micros not sub-optimal, exploiting player tendencies would be what Id vere to at micros as opposed to having a balanced range. I'm not sure where the cap is for exploitative vs gto but it must be at mistakes somewhere

So essentially I need to develop a grasp of the fundamentals first and then look for ways to exploit the errors that I can perceive in my limited and basic knowledge? How can you exploit people when they always have a good price?

Opponent errors at micros are pretty obvious, easy to identify and easy to exploit. For example, you get a lot of calling stations, a lot of nits, a lot of players who play a lot of junk hands, etc. Some players just click buttons.

I'm not saying you shouldn't get an understanding of balance, but to play balanced against opponents who are clearly far from balanced is going to really hurt your win rate.

if it makes you happy. I've heard that 100 tournament buyins is a good approach. Personally I favour cash games because i like to be able to quit whenever I want but tournaments can be fun especially when you win all the chips.

Is this spot good to just call the x/r and play all turn card that don't pair the board or just get the money in given that we have top pair? If we call and the turn is K or Q offsuite?

Hey folks. I've read through some of the stickies and big threads here, but some of the information is a little bit dated. I have 2 questions.

1) What books are recommended for small stakes PLO nowadays?

2) What is the best video series for small stakes PLO? Are the 2010 Cardrunners videos still applicable, or are they out of date nowadays?

Hey guys

If I am playing the so called 'rake swamp' PLO 50 and 100 games should I never have on run it twice because of split pots and losing to rake?

If each pot is capped independently when running it twice, then running it once is probably the better option in most circumstances. If the total rake cap is the same whether running it twice or once (i.e. rake calculated from the total of the two spilt pots, rather than calculated as if it were two independent pots), then it depends on how you feel about other factors.

I don't know how the rake cap works for run it twice versus once, but I'm interested to know if someone has the definitive answer.

Depends on your preferences but if you feel confident about playing deep then I wouldn't run it twice until you are deep and then turn it on.

Hi I'm new to playing and studying poker and I have a question. If I have the nut straight on the flop, cbet and get a call, and then the turn brings a flush.(with no chance to improve my hand str, I have no blockers for the flush). If I think villain has a flush like 55% of the time and if the river pairs I will also lose. How should I calculate/think about how often I should call a turn bet and an eventual river bet? Sadly I'm nowhere near a math-wiz hehe..

thanks

multiply the last bet by three and add all other bets, including the original pot.

^ Is that a good shortcut to see how much a POT sized raise is? ( like total max you can bet)

Does anyone have an overview of roughly how many VPPs you make at the different zoom stakes?

E.g. how many hands of PLO50z would it take to make SN?
