Because it doesn't matter. The only thing that matters are results. Saying "but I'm so unlucky" is an excuse. Make good decisions, continue to learn and don't blame variance. Just ride it out and don't look at your results for like 20k hands if it effects your play or mindset toward the game.

What is considered a an achievable winrate in a live 2/2 PLO game with 10% 5$ rake?

What is a "standard" downswing/upswing and what are recommended BR requirements for a full-time player?

haven't got a clue what the winrate should be.

As for variance:
I'm breakeven after 2 yrs at one casino. (cant win with wrap and nfd.)
at another casino I'm up 5 figures after a year. (gutshots hitting left and right, flopped straight with no redraw holds.)

and 1/4 to 1/2 of the table is the same players at both casinos.

I only play like 10hrs/week (on weekends)

hi i have a question regarding winrates at bb/100. i play small stakes plo 5 handed.
last 17k hands:
btn: 83,21 bb/100
co: 79,91
mp+2: 63,53
bb: - 27,67
sb: - 18,82

what am i loosing in the blinds?

100 hands = 20 times 1 blind/ small blind posted -> correct?
so by folding every blind i loose 20bb/100 in the bb and 10bb/100 in the sb -> is this correct?
thanks for clarification.

thanks for that clarification; my fault - so obv in the bb stat only the "bb hands" are counted

so do good players have an actually winrate in the blinds or just a lower loosing rate?

Pls teach a rookie..

Player 1: Ac Ad 10h Ks
Player 2: Jh Jd 10s 8h

Flop: Qd 9d Jc

Turn: As

River: ...

how come player 2 only had trips, I mean why can't Player 2 use 10s and 8h in his hand for a straight? How come its only trip jacks?

player 2 has a straight. player 1 has a higher straight.

I don't know where you got the hand from but player 2 flopped a straight, you're right.

Also, it's a set of jacks. Trips is when the pair is on the board; a set is when the pair is in your hand.

Quick question on PLO8 hand:

I've got KK42 rainbow. Preflop is six limps, a 2x bb raise by the bb, and everyone calls, so we're seven players to the flop.

Flop is Ax93. Pot is $42.

Sb and bb check.
UTG+1 (aggressive) bets $30.
Two folds
Hero?

I have a gutshot wheel draw and a nut low draw. Do I call here or drop it in fear of being quartered? There are three players left to act behind me.

I think I'd call, but I really have no idea. Try the Omaha 8 subforum.

Also a Noob! to PLO and working through 'PLO from Scratch' (linked above) and it is the best resource I have found so far for 6max. It often references Jeff Hwang's 'Big Play Strategy' which is also worth a read but it is aimed for the nittier live, full-ring environment and any info needed from it is noted in 'PLO from Scratch.'

Since this topic is not something what is worth making a thread on and at the same time it answers the question of MANY beginner to semi-advanced players, the best place to throw this post is here.

Q: Is micro-stakes PLO ZOOM beatable?

A: Yes , it is. With very recent/up to date time (since 1.8.2015) , here is a graph of me (SN 7th Lion) having played 94K hands at PLO25z , the highest stake in micro-stakes group.

EV 8.75bb/100

(I WISH I WILL NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN , PLO25. SHOT TAKE PLO50 FOR LIKE 6TH TIME )

Have a nice day
