+1, pit games are evil, esp. online ones, I'm glad I've finally gotten the discipline to stay away from them.

i was 6 tabling roulette on party around 5 years ago.. took it for 10k in 3 days before they figured out what i was doing and gave me the inevitable black 15 times straight 3 times in 20 mins. still got out a couple grand infront.

the strategy btw is simply betting red or black and doubling your bet every time u lose, and resetting to your original betsize every time u win... assuming infinite bankroll and no bet caps the strat is unbeatable. my bet was $1 and it didnt take long to reach 10k

This is against a lagtard that I have a lot of history with. I think his river raise is horrible as he cannot rep anything here. With a 3-bet percentage of 15 there is no way that I would not have heard from him if he had aces or kings.

    OnGame - $0.50 PL Hi (5 max) - Omaha - 4 players
    Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

    Hero (SB): $423.24
    BB: $66.63
    UTG: $316.92
    BTN: $85.59

    Hero posts SB $0.50

    Pre Flop: ($0.50) Hero has A 8 J K

fold, UTG raises to $1.50, BTN calls $1.50, Hero raises to $6.00, UTG calls $4.50, BTN calls $4.50

    Flop: ($18.00, 3 players) K 4 6
Hero bets $13.50, UTG calls $13.50, fold

    Turn: ($45.00, 2 players) 4
    Hero checks, UTG checks

    River: ($45.00, 2 players) 4
Hero bets $22.50, UTG raises to $67.50, Hero raises to $140.00, fold

    Hero wins $178.00

Do you not only get a $1 profit each time? (E.g you bet $1, and lose the first 4 times, and win on the 5th. Loss = 1+2+4+8=15; Win =16; Profit = $1)
Gonna take you a while to get it up to anything worthwhile.

I know cos i thought of this lol, but the only way it was worth ££ was to start with like £10

This is why martingaling is a terrible strategy. Not much potential reward with huge risk if you go on death run. With unlimited bankroll and no betting limits it's foolproof but neither of these are ever the case which is why it's extremely ill-advised.

this. If you do it strictly you slowly double up then usually crash in a 7 or 8 x losing streak, where you're betting your whole stack on one roll

Yea, exactly. I mean, i guess its all in relation.

If you have a £200 br; you can maybe start at £2 or £5 a go depending on how risky u want to be. A £2/£5 profit aint that much + there could easily be a time when you put the £ on red and it comes up black 10 times in a row and your busto, all for a few quid.

Then again, if you have a £2000 br, you can maybe bet £20/£50 each; but £20 is the same to a guy with a few k as £2 is to a guy with a couple of hundred. I wouldn't risk it for a few pounds/dollars.
