I have no idea to be honest. But the spin is rigged, I guess. I had spin only the lower end of the rakeback so far.
But the site is much fisher and softer comered to starts or partypoker at this level..So is not a big deal to pay more rake, but to have some edge.
There are some good regs but the rest is somekind of crazy aggro and not really good..
If I can win at PLO100, so there must be somethings wrong..
I got crushed the whole time at this level.
But overall is also another dynamic at the tabels, because you can buy in very short for only 10BB..so there some all in festivals..just wait for good hands and get the money in.
Like in year 2006
I am playing 24 VPIP..usually I play much higher 30 to 35, but maybe I am playing a little better now

Just bought HM3 and it shows I’m only 10bi‘s under ev but playing bad

Not a surprise that they both folded on that specific turn.

Brag: healthy EV bb/100 over my past 200k tracked hands of PLO.

Beat: bb/100 is less than 10% of my EV bb/100.

Variance: my results per stake are just all over the place (thankfully in a profitable way). High single digit EV bb/100 at PLO100 and PLO200, and the bb/100 is only 0.23 away. Meanwhile, at PLO50 and lower I've basically broken even in EV bb/100 and I'm on a bottom 15th percentile run of all-in luck.

Either way, with those 200k hands plus (an educated guess of) like 50k untracked (but definitely winning) hands on Global... since January 2019 I've put together a winning sample of a quarter-million PLO hands and I don't mind being openly proud of it. Poker is kind of hard, and (as you can tell just from descriptions of my EV difference above) my personal poker journey over the past couple of years has been marked by a lot of frustration. I've wanted to quit altogether a number of times.

But now having a quarter-million hands telling me that I know what I'm doing, it's easier to fight through bad runs.

Even just this month, I'm 21 BI below EV and my EV bb/100 and bb/100 are on opposite sides of zero. Plus, I've mostly run miserably in the PASCOOP. It's tough sometimes, and it's not easy knowing that, just statistically, the poker journey I've been on for the past couple of years should have been easier, on average.

Here's to the next quarter-million hands.

Congrats on being in it for the long haul. It's so much easier when you can take that perspective. It's just so hard to do. GL

Hey guys, this is crashwhips on a new account.

Haven’t played poker seriously (or profitably) since fall 2016. Been through some serious sht since I last posted, including spending 7+ months in basically max security jail 2017-18 (max security facility for the criminally insane—think Arkham Asylum, a ton of my roommates were there for murders) but been in the same apartment on my own since July 2019 and doing very well now. Just adopted a new rescue cat.

Hope Jabo drose chronic heh napsus ggarj passing db and all the other old regs on here many of whom I spent time with irl but that I haven’t really talked to in years are doing well.

If anyone talks to pkrtxs/Tres please tell him to pay me the $ he owes me or at least tell me why he’s ignoring me about it.

Also, if any of you have saved any chat logs where I shared pics from my 2015 Thailand trip HMU I can’t find a lot of them.

Eat rocks, variance.

Time for a freakin' brag, y'all.

Graph of my bankroll across April, expressed as a percentage of my bankroll to start the month:

PASCOOP went poorly.

In 48942 hands of cash PLO, 8.67 EV bb/100 but only 4.4 bb/100. April $EV difference is more than 25% of my current bankroll.

But still pulled out a winning month; eff off bad luck.

Been playing some tournaments for fun while in quarantine, and thought I'd give people the amazing opportunity to stake a perhaps-EV0-player. Here's my post from the staking forum, if for some reason anybody here feels like taking a punt.

I used to play cash PLO regularly around 2009-2015, as well as some NLH and PLO tournaments. I was decent, around breakeven in PLO25-200 and had a couple 4-figure tournament cashes. I was playing on a stake on multiple occasions, and was a regular in the 2+2 PLO community.

With this whole COVID-situation, I don't have any gigs as a musician, and hobbies are very limited, so I thought I'd deposit a bit to play some tournaments every now and then for fun. I'm liking the PLO PKO tournaments on PokerStars as well as PartyPoker (FinnedFinn on both sites), and the games seem pretty soft, even though I'm definitely not in my prime, either.

With no money coming in from gigging at the moment, and future being uncertain, I can't justify risking that much of my money right now, but I figured, if somebody wants to take a punt on me playing those sorts of tournaments, I'll gladly give you the chance.

I'm not looking to grind too much, and I'm not studying the game outside of the tables anymore, just to be honest with you. I'm not expecting random strangers to want to give me money, when there are probably a lot more people willing to put in big hours for the same chance. But if for some reason anybody wants to take a chance on a decent fun player, hit me up! I'm up to negotiating all parts of the deal, and you can quit the deal at any point you like. I can also provide you with any needed details of my past and references from other known 2+2 people. I'm interested in playing tournaments up to $109 buy-ins (but of course, if you want me to play higher, who am I to judge?), or whatever suits you. Low SCOOP events, and other small stakes tournaments with hopefully decent prize pools.

If you want some musical favors in return - a romantic surprise for a loved one, song written to your text, or anything you can come up with - let me know!

Never realized how rough PLO can be... 44 BI below EV in 22k hands. Takes the motivation right out of you. Some tilt induced losses probably but still brutal.
Break time or grind through it :S
