Been playing a bit of NL HU this week as PLO action on my site has been pretty quiet. I've been sitting with some NL bum hunters who wouldn't know my SN due to me playing pretty much exclusively PLO on an untracked site. Now I'm no NL HU expert, but it's quite interesting just how bad these bum hunting regs actually are. The only problem is that as soon as they get it in bad, double up and realise you are reasonably competent, they insta quit. I can see why they choose not to play ring games!

lol, i find that amusing too. once every blue moon i decide to play online NLH, and i´m sure i´m extremely rusty and the fish in these games, and my SN has to be unknown, but the bumhunter still won´t play me more than 2 hands. once you open your BTN and fold your BB, it´s over lol.

won´t even play HU if i try to start a full ring table...
online holdem community must be full of scared money nitregs, but i appreciate the hard work they are investing. i mean, can´t be fun, right

You don't even need to switch to NL to experience this effect. The problem with such a small site is that regs have to mix three limits (this_passing-style) to get enough tables. Yours truly, a PLO25-100 botfish, would be terrified by the prospect of bumping into you, a PLO100-400+ reg, without realising that your SN plays so high, so I'd have to skim the midstake lobby to get to know the strongest of my opps.

Thanks, you realise I missed virtually every flop during that session other than the hands I posted and am 130 BI below EV over 400k hands with a 2bb/100 EV winrate. While 12 tabling, inc. zoom. I think that's acceptable.

Don't put much stock in the redline, I think it's overrated.

          Spoiler:
I'm a nit, check back a lot of flops, bluffcatch a lot but at the same time probably fold too much in some spots, basically the redline plummets

Squeezing out a positive WR 12 tabling (including zoom) is pretty impressive. In particular considering the AIEV runbads which will affect most players game negatively.

But mind you even 420k hands is not a lot when we are estimating winrates. With a "normal" std dev of 120 for the AIEV winnings the 95% confidence interval is still +/- 3.6bb/100

Shimmy/Simona is def one of the better regs in those games.

          @ Shimmy

Tough run. Keep your head up and grind it out. Take solace in the rakeback

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I guess if the regs check the lobby enough looking for fish action that they will see me opening PLO tables and that will be enough to know I have a reasonable understanding of the game. It must be a pretty ****ty life to be a NL reg these days.
