But, in all honesty, I am fairly sure most educated Swedes could out-spell any random public school donk with as little as one year abroad. You guys still haven't figured out proper use of there/their/ they're, of/off, to/too, and so on. Geography and grammar is not your forte, America.
I am also swedish. I suppose I am wrong in your case, but I just feel like 95 % of swedes take it too literally whenever an american compliments them for their AMAZING english, something which happens every time they meet.
Educated swedes might be better at spelling, but certainly not at pronunciation, vocabulary, idioms and so on. I also went to english speaking school, my job is mostly in english etc., but I definitely wouldn't claim to be better at english than a rando american.
