I thought about folding pre, because in microstakes, 3-bets are very AAxx heavy. Two schools of thought: (1) Since I have an A blocker, villain is less likely to have Aces so I should call? or (2) Since I have A, I'm dominated by Aces, so I should fold. Which do you think is correct?

Putting villain on Aces, I was getting the right odds to call flop, with a pair + gutter. (45% equity vs his hand). I also had the right odds to call the half-pot turn bet (30% equity).

Since the river is diamonds, and I have a flush blocker, should I lead the river as a bluff, with the goal of targeting Aces?

steal/fold preflop, or limp if villian is aggressive.

So when we have a weak A that is dominated by Aces, you recommend usually folding to 3-bets?

Yes I'd fold to the 3-bet OOP with a hand that flops poorly.

Flop I think calling is maybe ok, though quite ambitious. Turn given those odds yes I'd call, river you just need to bluff surely.

Okay, good to know. When villain likely has Aces, I'll find more bluffs when the river completes draws.

we can fold vs a three bet imo, especially if we think villain is more aces heavy than normal. we do fold some hands to three bets, and this is a pretty good candidate. double suited we'd have to peel. i actually am not even sure this hand is an open SBvBB in a high rake environment. i think we want to open like 25-30%?

on the flop i am finding a fold again. we really only have six solid outs. villain doesn't have to have AA, and this QJx flop is good for a three bettor. we might have 45% equity vs his exact hand, but this is a best case scenario, where all our outs except the A are live. he could easily have AT so our king is dead, QQ or JJ are not out of the question etc.

turn i fold again. diamonds complicate matters.

re : the other poster, i'd be more inclined to limp if villain was passive and I thought we could see the flop for 1 big blind. vs an aggro player i'd just fold.
