Fold against someone described as passive. They tend not to have the cojones to raise as a bluff on the river ever, and it's very unlikely to be worse for value even when it gets headsup on the river.

Agree with fold vs loose passive.

My gut says your 3b isn’t great if it’s going to go 4-5 ways. Maybe I’m off base here.

I wanted to play big pots against the LAG-fish when we're deep. But you're right. Knowing it's probably going to be multi-way and not having the button, the 3-bet is a little thin with the 8 and 4 danglers.

I'd rather not have the K in hand either.

Passive fish generally play bad in several ways. How do you know his thought process isn't just "I have a flush, I raise?" If he's a holdem regular and doesn't play much omaha, I'd expect that. That and his sizing would suggest a merged value range with many hands weaker than yours.

I've been playing live 5-5 PLO for six months. I've never seen someone value raise a flush that wasn't the nuts or second nuts.

Yeah, people who treat any flush as the nuts on the river tend to go broke very quickly or learn, leaving some crazy savants who value raise their any flush on the river to induce and snap off your all-in blush jam, but they're pretty rare and they're wrong often enough to go broke pretty quickly too

I've been playing live and online PLO for ~18 years now and though undoubtedly the games are much tougher now this factor hasn't really changed in my experience. Maybe you've been spoilt by playing in exceptionally good games or have been practicing insanely good game selection
