Hey,
i'm a .5/1 reg in 5card with over 250k hands in already. been a decent winner on this samplesize with good fundamental understanding of the game, but feel i need to improve my game to make the next steps.
if there are any fellow grinders who are in a similar situation (should be at least playing .5/1), hit me up on DM, im glad for exchange.

I assume all on GGpoker? The rake is pretty absurd for 5card. Isnt a winning player on 5card same as a 4card just way more variance on GG?

No. The less explored a game is, the more edge there is to be had in it. Many regs at small stakes 4c have done solver work, read hundreds or thousands of posts/articles online, and have huge samples to work with. Can that be said about 5 card? If you're decent at 5 card, it'll be less variance than 4 card as well.

Just to add onto what .isolated said, variance is directly related to win rate and standard deviation, not preflop equities or whatever.
