Ignition - $0.25 PL Hi (6 max) - Omaha Hi - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

UTG: 77.76 BB
MP: 100 BB
CO: 98.6 BB
BTN: 101.68 BB
Hero (SB): 100 BB
BB: 55.64 BB

Hero posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has Q 9 Q 9

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) BB has A 7 2 Q

UTG calls 1 BB, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 4 BB, BB calls 3 BB, UTG calls 3 BB

Flop: (12 BB, 3 players) A T J
Hero checks, BB bets 8.56 BB, fold, Hero raises to 37.08 BB, BB raises to 51.64 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 14.56 BB

I decided to check raise the flop, because the SPR is 4, I have an OESD, two blockers to KQ, and one flush-blocker. However, I'm not sure if this was a punt. I only had 24% equity vs his specific hand (top pair + FD).

I think its fine vs a short rec, i dont see getting away.

But i will fold pre.
I get the iso vs rec and i do it quite wide too, but honestly hand is trash even for iso vs very weak guy. At a minimum i would want a nut suit, like A5sQ4o im happy to have here.

You don't think QQ99 is an open in the SB?

Sorry my bad, i completely misread the whole HH lmao.

I looked you had A7Q2 from SB, but that was BBs stack off hand.

To the hand - i will probably just bet fold that flop, as played is spew yes i think.

I like your raise pre and the flop bluff raise. When BB shoves the turn, you're committed at that point anyway, so you have to go with it.

FWIW, I always raise QQ99 and will 3-Bet most double paired hands pre.

I know that you didn't have a 3-bet and get 4-Bet scenario in the hand you posted and sorry to go off track here, but as a side reference, per Richard Gayler, an elite coach on RIO, on double paired hands, is that if you 3-bet something like KK88 and get 4-Bet by an Aces only range, you need to be 125 bbs deep to call, unless they're somewhat connected. The more connected your pairs, the shallower you can call.

On the plus side, if raise any double paired hands and get 4-bet by an Aces only range, at least you have a good idea of what you have to out flop.

I check intending to fold on the flop and start bluffing only if the flop is checked. These poor equity blocker bluffs will not make money for you, especially in games where people continue often with hands they shouldn't. I also think you should be checking this board with a big portion of your range so checking does not cap you at all.

As played, I check-raised. You think I should have just check-folded, because I don't have enough equity vs top pair/ flush draw?

Your equity is horrible against everything that continues. You have many better bluffs to choose from, and starting multi-street bluffs against weak players is not something I'd recommend. You don't need to bluff just because you have two of the straightening cards.

Pre is fine, flop is just spew because you check raise punt/pot commit yourself vs a short stack with virtually no equity vs range.
