I am in the button straddle for 10 with T9864 double suited

LAGish reg makes it 20 from BB for some reason, three callers, I call.

Flop Q75r giving me a super wrap with two backdoor flush draws

PFR pots for 105, folds to a fishy reg who re-pots 420. Fish has a set here, almost certainly top set. PFR is kinda steamy and could be leading with sets, big draws, 2pr + draw or maybe some two pair AQT87 type hands. I don't ever expect him to be super out of line on this texture from OOP even though he is a bit splashy.

PFR started hand with 1500ish, fish 1250, I cover.

Do you flat here and see a turn, or shove to try and get heads up and clean up outs / protect equity? PFR is aware enough to fold bottom set, most two pair + draw combos, etc. Fish is never folding obv

You mostly improve to the nuts so I think call trying to pull in PFR. The less nutty our outs (e.g., a frontdoor Thi fldr) the more I'd want to play KO. Backdoors are nice to haves but make up a small portion of your equity at this point.

It's hard to go wrong either way. One additional comment is there is merit to forcing out any other straight draws that might fold versus a jam so you are not drawing to a chop and scoop when you improve. I personally would just jam flop because IME it is likely they both have strong made hands and are blocking the board pairs.

You have position and you know which cards are bad and you should fold (anything that pairs the board). Villain with a good set is never folding when the cards you want hit turn ... so call and only lose 450 if you get unlucky on the turn. Getting the PFR to fold is super unlikely to be worth as much. Bonus: PFR might decide he can raise you out when you just call.

all of our outs are to the nuts so the concept of cleaning up outs doesnt really apply. i guess we can kick someone off the chop? anyway, pretty clear we should just call the flop.

Hmmmm, I see people advise to go all in on flop to deny chop odds. This really made my day.

Just because you want to deny chop odds, you risk yourself drawing dead on turn with everything in IN POSITION.
Yes, you may all in to deny chop. But you may also be against some pairs or 2 pairs with draws or even another set.

Only thought of all in to deny chop odds, never thought of calling to get PFR to call and probably triple up?
And on turn, even if straight complete, draws are still jamming on the turn giving the SPR.
