Are these rush & cash games profitable including 20% RB and placing at least top 20 in the races every day? or is it a huge rake trap...

Feel free to post your GG PLO graphs here

A similar question crossed my mind about at what point it's actually worth playing PLO on GG and not ending up in the rake trap.

I only use their tracker so don't know the rake but if I calculate my winnings vs what's actually in my account then it looks like the rake is pretty high. I don't think my GG PLO graph would help if you want the rake numbers.

I find it fairly easy to get something from the leaderboard when I play and once won a bit in the flip out tournament.

At .5/1 I know someone who used to grind leaderboard professionally. Had very low win-rate (negative); only made money off of leaderboard and rakeback. Definitely not where u wanna be imo. He did he thinks weekend games could be profitable though.

This doesn't quite sound "professional". That's saying working at McDonald's is professional.

He made decent enough money afaik, definitely not McDonald’s, but it’s extremely stressful (low wr downswings) and VERY long hours. I think leaderboard may have payed out more, and he was winning it.

Considering playing there. I'm a bit confused - have heard in multiple places people talking about how high the rake is, but this:

https://worldpokerdeals.com/rakeback...ggpoker-review

says the rake caps for $25 and $50 PLO, the two stakes I'd want to play, are $0.75 and $1 respectively, which is much lower than on party, which I believe has a rake cap of $3. I find it hard to believe that the inclusion of rake for preflop only pots could account for that much difference.

I'm only a rec, but 25 and 50 at GGPoker are very beatable. I never really thought about the rake much. Why do you want to leave Party? How is the traffic there for 50 and 100?

I stopped playing at Party as there wasn't much action there (playing smaller games). They also removed some of the fast forward PLO stakes and they generally seemed pretty quiet.

Maybe things have changed since but I remember the action being pretty dead. Rake also works out to be quite high + the games aren't especially soft.

So where is the PLO action then? GG has regular games up to 400 but then 1000 is totally dead (like 0 people) then players again at 2000. Weird dynamic at the upper levels.

You're correct for regular tables. All the rush and cash tables are 5% capped at 3bb.

A lot of it seemed to move across to 5card on GG.

Not the most fun, but could be profitable if you get the leaderboard top 20 everyday. This is mix of plo50 and plo100 rush and cash
