postflop he is a bit more passive but still aggressive (1.83 af for 96 vpip is super high and his agr frequencies are 32, 36, 37%)

CO seems fishy, too. i had to bet/Fold a lot against him earlier in the session when he was a complete unkown, so my image should be somewhat crappy

I think I'd check-call here, unless it's bet and raised and on the river if you miss, sometimes call a bet, depending on how you feel about it.

If you bet, you risk getting raised out of the pot, which isn't nice, even against maniac.
Let him bet and hope CO 'just' calls (or fold), so you can close the action.
If maniac bets and CO raises, fold.
If it goes check-check and CO bets, it depends how likely you think maniac will check-raise.

IMO the laggy img of the BB will play more on the river, when you'll decide if you call again unimproved or not.

I'd bet for value.
