Villain is a tag able to make a move. Definitely capable of bluffing paired board in 3bet pot. I have the nine blocking boats and 3 spades as well. Maybe spades are not that relevant because he is representing a full house and I doubt he goes full pot event with Ace high spades. Can I call holding such blockers or just fold it?

I’m not 100 but I think we have to call here a ton, if we are beat I expect to see NF more than a boat tbh.

His sizing looks bluffs/ weakish up until river, so I wonder if he’s been setting up a jam the whole way.

67 as a semi bluff gets there, I wonder if he’d jam to blow you off the bdf repping boat. Like you said you block the boat, I mean he could have As9xxx and turn it into a bluff I guess too.

94 isn’t super likely, although I think 88 could take this line on this runout.

You under bet flop to induce and he took the bait right?

I’m calling this I think unless dudes a nit.

Question @ forum, if we are in villains spot and somehow we river NF with a bare 9 how often are we shoving here for value? This is a spot I think I miss sometimes.

It is my standard sizing in 3b on paired boards. I ended up calling and he got 98. Regarding your question. I think it depends on opponent. Wouldn't shove against a nit. Glad to do it against some sort of station. Against a reg it depends on our image. If we have some history of bluffs caught by him and he is able to hero call we could shove. However I would be more catious in heads up than in 6-max beacuse of wider ranges.

I don't play HU but usually in 6-max its a check on the flop, we block V calling range, we may fold out some potential straight, that gives us fh on the turn.

Kind of feels like a crime to not bet this in a 3bet pot irrespective of HU/6max?

Apart from making a boat vs straight, would you mind elaborating on your rationale for checking, I feel that there’s just a ton of continues/floats on this board generally vs our 3bet, shouldn’t we be going for value now and perhaps slowing down later unimproved?

No it’s not. In 6 max this is much closer to a pure bet than a pure check.

Why is this a definite bet on flop? If we bet what could we expect to see calling as we have the straight locked up. Are we just betting that a 9 that we could beat calls us down I think 3betting doesn't mean we have to bet it seems like a rush to an expected end if your mindset is geared that way on hands like these.

Which I'm not saying I'm not guilty of as well but a check makes more sense here on flop.

He's only betting FH's on the river - literally never has a flush imo. The problem with this spot is we block potential bluffs and our range is uncapped meaning we can have boats here, yet he's still firing away. Even a hand like 567 checks the river, so what bluffs does he even have? This is probably a call from a "GTO" perspective, but its hard for me to come up with bluffs esp when our range is uncapped, so think its a fold.
