Usually here I sigh and pump flop as its the only thing to do, calling oop is meh on a drawy board with just a dry middle set. pumping is probably ~flipping-small win in the long run though but thats better than calling or folding. Exception would be if you are guaranteed a c/r on good turns calling might provide more weight to your position.


JJT7 is not a good cbetting hand oop so i tend to just call pf, maybe even just fold its 5c who cares. It usually only hits an 89 flop or just a J flop with some backdoors and those arent too profitable when money goes in. JTT7 is not a good form to raise oop imo, at plo10 its just too easy to win by playing solid positional poker and raking in the steals and 30+bb pots

3bet the flop or play it this way

I read a post by one of the high stake players where he says he never folds second set unless it is on a straighty /flushy board to all kinds of action.

I guess based on that we should raise and get it in. We have a bluff catcher when we just call. It isn't a good place to be.

At least if villain just calls, we are assured we are ahead on a blank turn and can get it in as a pretty decent favorite.

Firstly, I wouldn't be raising preflop SB v BB, what are you trying to achieve, building the pot or stealing 5c/1SB ??


As played you've made it too expensive to carry on, good fold, I would have preferred to ch/call to the river and I could have done that or rather made it affordable by keeping the pot small from the start.

Having said that, the fish generally pump this pot praying for the board to pair, so again, a good fold, be pleased with your decision there.

i fold pre but im aware its a mistake. due to ocd id need the 7 to be an 8 atleast. raising is by far correct though.

Blind on blind and OOP, flop is easy smash pot.
