Hi there,

I just came cross a small Omaha Rebuy Tournament and thought why not.
My Omaha knowledge is VERY limited (I basicly am only sure that you get 4 cards to start with and that you should play 2 of those).

so, that is the hand I went all in with, I would love a few comments if that was ok or ****e, and why.

Thank you all a lot.

OK so don't play tournament PLO so I may be way off the mark, but can we not consider folding here? We have no fold equity so basically can only really on our all in +EV. Against a 10% opening range we are flipping and against a wider 20% range we have 56.54%. So depending on how tight MP2 is I think we can at least consider folding.

Just throwing it out there that this can be a fold if the variables :

bubble distance, not having an ace your in hand, villain open range, are significant enough.

There's 8x chance of aa** as its 9 handed table. HAving an A with the KK makes it a no brainier but here it is not simple without information.

It's close though/marginal in any case other than the bubble being miles away, guy just lost a pot, is a fish.

folding would not be terrible vs a nit close to the bubble, but it's still more or less a very std stack-off

6max I could never get away, but 9-handed it's not autoshove if there are ICM considerations. Not that I'm ever folding personally...

If we fold this spot, we're doomed to get blinded out.

I had especially difficulties with what hands to play and which not, course I found those '30 best starting hands of omaha' sheets and stuff, but you can wait forever and a freaking day to hit one of those.
Thanks for opinions and sorry if the question seems to stupid for some.
Next one I post will be more interesting I hope.

Actually getting a premium hand in omaha is quite often, I bleieve aces is 2.5% alon. Survivability in plo tournaments is rather easy especially because of the lack of antes and the easily +ev jams against multitudes of fish. Even when running bad its not uncommon to be a bottom stack in a plo tournament but then suddenly Its 3/3 and still crawling along.

And post information on the bubble, it is actually pivotal here and to be fair it can always be pivitol even if you have ds aces.

to bubble: 16 ppl left, 7 in the money. So nothing exciting yet.
I wasn´t quite sure if it wouldn´t have been better to wait a bit longer or if you can even blind down more in Plo tourneys.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought 'just' AA in the starthand is not all that good, but to look for sth like double suited connected highcards with big pairs and t+ kickers, or on that line.

Yea, no choice but to gamble if the bubble's that far away. You'll be blinded out waiting in a couple orbits.

AAxx is favorite against anything pre, but not all match-ups are created equal. Go to propokertools.com and run a few sims with AA vs different types of hands.

Gonna close this now, you can ask follow-ups in the beginners' thread. Don't hesitate to post new threads with a fresh hand history, obviously.
