Also, they should have a weekly sunday PLO tourney >$22. that's the biggest right now. Put a $215, $100, something PLO sunday around time of the million etc, even if its low gaurantee whatever

Just posting here to say that "koko ginku" or whatever his name is (fatter asian lady picture) grimmed me.

I sat out 3 handed, the other dude left. He says "play me HU" I say I will sit in if I lose some tables. I sit in 5 minutes later (he is sitting out at this point) He takes about 30 seconds, then Sits in, plays his button, then sits out and leaves.

So if anyone has a chance to slowroll him or really twist his nuts around, I say do it

He sat me on 1 table, asked for 2, played for 3 minutes than left, grimed me few times, aslways hnr's and leaves with btn. What do you think of making a public list of ppl that grim or act scummy ?

Am I the only one that feels a real overhaul in needed in the online poker world?

Stars seem to do things that benefit them and if it aligns with players interests then great, but if it going to cost them $$ they simply aren't interested. Issues like seating scripts, people grimming etc could surely be fixed with a bit of work. We all know we pay them a sh*t ton of rake so getting things like that sorted shouldn't be a problem imo. Any other business that an INDIVIDUAL pays hundred of thousands of dollars a year to I'd imagine would have these relatively small issues fixed almost immediately.

I'd like to see a site that's main interest is keeping games healthy ABOVE making a profit. A profit would still have to be made, but it could work similar pro sports where you have a deal between players and the people who own/run the site WRT rake. Players could be consulted and if they wanted changes / extra promotions etc then they would have to agree to an increase in rake to cover the costs should there be any.

I don't know about everyone else but I feel like Stars is sucking the life out of online poker. It's obviously a huge task but what kind of interest / contributions do you think you would get from players if you put together a kickstarter or something along these lines. Players could contribute $$ toward getting it up and running and based on contributions could own votes when it came to decisions that had to be made. The entity would have a mandate to keep rake as low as possible for everyone.

The most important thing I think the site would need from players is a commitment to play there and help spread the word once it was up. If you had a decent chunk of grinders already commited to moving once you got up and running I think it would be a big head start.

Its not tough to start a site with said things - its tough to make it work! Cause who would play on a site full of regs? not a lot of ppl... so you´ve to make this site interesting also for rec-players and not just interesting - make it known at all... stars is so big cause they have this big media-presence and this **** is faking expensive!

Maybe it would be possible to set up a not for profit poker site? Similar to how a credit union works where it's owned by the players or something along those lines.

I've had it on my mind for quite some time, it's just obviously a very big task to do.

If there is enough support from the community and a structure can be figured out that would keep the owners of the site from hiking the rake in the future without the consent of the players I think that would be a very good thing for games.

If anyone else has ideas please share them, the more its spoken about the more likely I am to roll with it.

What do people think about how much profit the entity should make? They have to cover expenses obviously but on top of that?

To keep marketing costs down it would be awesome if the players helped to promote the site in whatever way they could, any ideas how this could play out?

Stars just needs some serious competition for the rake to go down, the US market re-opening should make that possible in the long run.

The Us-market will not make the rake go down. You think the people that own the USA online poker software are not going for max value? They will happily set the rake at stars rake or maybe even up it a little.

I do think a "poker-player-owned" low rake site with similar benefits of stars would do very very well. The profits stars are working with have to be enormous. The only problem is most of us don't even do our own laundry

I like that plo is KOTH but why are HUNL tables 5/10-2/4 uncapped?

While were brainstorming I know it is very controversial but there is one poker player out there who has put together a very good site before and might be looking for some redemption with the online community in the form of charity / non-paid work. If you got HL to help for free you would move things along a lot quicker. If there is enough interest I'd be willing to QB this thing, but need the support of the community.

how u plan to get players outside from 2+2? Don´t get me wrong, i like your idea i just think you´ve to find a way to "recruit" ppl to play on the site which are able and willing to loose as well to make this site attractive!

That is why major website are the only options for the regs...
If the room doesn't get enough visibility only regs having heard of a 0% rake room will play there making it the toughest field around.

i remember a 100% rakeback site in 2005 or 06, but forget the name. they didnt last long
