x-post:

Yes "Omaha week" is coming towards the end of this month. All rake issues aside it is an attempt to promote PLO to a wider audience and to bring in new players. I have been working with stars to provide content and material to help ease the transition for players coming from a NLHE background who want to try their hand at PLO.

I assume that during this week is when the new games will be announced/implemented that have been mentioned in recent times (5 card PLO, 5 card PLO8 and Courchevel).

--I believe they will be implemented at all stakes but am not 100% sure.

off course stars is rake machine. its a company that want make money. tilts me people saying this , like if stars was stupid hijo de puta for doing this...its pretty standard, thats why they exist.

off course they are going to make what more rake for them. and they aren't ''bad guys'' for doing that.

I don't mind Stars raking in astronomical profits as long as they make sure the games stay healthy and preferably grow.

Just saw that too. srsly wtf? And why only at 5k? You'd think they'd start lower and make their way to 5k PLO. Seems like the worst spot to have a trial at it with such a small player pool.

Zoom has been deployed at lower stakes for ~a year now, all the way up to PLO 200. I believe the introduction to zoom at high stakes is from the perspective of negating the predatory environment of bumhunting/seat jumping/buttoning/etc.

Like anyone will play it at 25/50 for fear of getting the wrong seat/bum and losing 50 bucks!

As a sponsored Pokerstars Pro, who is constantly ratholing and bumhunting, what advice would you give to adjust to this new change?

I don't like your tone, sir.

Never played zoom. Sounds pretty cool. Do people open up multiple instances at once and/or combine it with playing normal tables?

Is ZOOM coming up for 3/6 through 10/20? I mean that would be really good. I don't really get the point why they install it for 25/50 first.

there is little point adding it to midstakes, 1/2 doesnt run. no chance 2/4 or 3/6 will. maybe 5/10 when mega fish are playing

Why is 1/2 not running? Why would 25/50 run then? If they had ZOOM for midstakes, SNE should be done much faster?

I actually think zoom may be a good experiment for the stakes with a smaller player pool, as it'll take away a lot of the bumhunting, positioning factors. Yet will stop it being so nitty(as is the case in lower stakes) and allow for reads and game flow. Interested to see if it works.
