couple days ago everyone at table sat out while m.a.i.a (brazilian amateur) was reloading. So i sent an email to Stars... they answer was very nice, its good to know they care and will remove players sitting out.

i feel bad for that one >.< i remember that i had already clicked sit out all tables to go on a short break and as i was leaving he sat out, then i sat out, and it created that domino effect of everyone else sitting out. ****ty situation.

its ok roy, you sitting out didnt create domino effect because others would sit out anyway.

im wondering... why pokerstars don't open change screenames every year, or every month like party poker? its obvious would make more action, more rake. this is really really obvious... anyone who has a clue about how poker online runs nowadays, will agree this will make waaay more tables running than nowadays.

i can't see any reason to not make this .. anyone know the reason? pokerstars pros and famous player, can keep their screenames if they want, so railbirds can follow them.

could be something liek this: you can change your screename at every 500k vpp points you receive. or maybe every 1million points, so one benefits of SNE would be one change screename. or maybe make it more hard, you only change your sne if you hit 3million vpp...i dont know how would be a good number, but im sure this idea would be very good for both players and pokerstars.

Ageed. But like 1mio vpp for changing wont help imo, cause its just for a very small crew. They should make it like once a year or once in6 months or like 200k vpp. Result will be more action, no reason to multiacc any more...
If they make it like pp once a month, its nearly same as anonymous tables, also could be fun...

I think this would make collusion and other forms of cheating much more hard to control(also it would make the problem of sit out when a rec does even worse)

Either way, you made a good point unintentionally. However I think the changes Stars has planned regarding that will be sufficient/make more sense than allow player to change SN.

thanks, i guess? I don't rly mind that you call me a bumhunter or say that I rarely start games (and I'm trying to actually do this more often), but i don't sit out while the rec player is reloading and I don't use table seating scripts, I'm rly sorry to "disapoint" you.

Anyway my only point was to state my opinion that Stars allowing the change os SN's would probably only make the games much worse, in the sense that everyone would do as they please, and no one would know who is who, and people could not be called out on douche behaviour. If you think I'm saying that on my own interests (like Stars would give a sh*t about my opinion) so be it.

I don't use a script either, but I sure would love to have it. No idea where to look.

you don't know what you are talking about.. Be thankful for the current system and be glad there aren't any name changes on ftp/stars. I use to think more like you; was a fan of name changing or the idea of it. Not after playing on sites like this for some time.

Constant name changing definitely doesn't create more action. People will steal players' old usernames. Figuring out who each new screen name is every month and then trying to find old notes on them is a huge inconvenience. Building reads on players and the concept of "history" pretty much goes out the window, especially if the player pool is large enough.

When people come to pokerstars, they want to play with names they recognize, (urubu111, isildur1, mrsweets28, etc.). If you want this great system, then go play on some of the ****ty sites that offer it.

its hard to estmiate the EV of thoose programs, but having an auto-seating software that is out there with a proper bankroll, its easily worth $200-300k/year... Makes me sick that sites allow em, even tho its hard to "control it"
