So I hear they are considering making all PLO tables fast. Thoughts? I think it is pretty awful. They already have fast tables and zoom.

Yes, horrible idea. I already time out often on stupid fast tables due to multi-tabling. PS obviously just wants to get more hands in to screw more rake out of players.

I think it's a good idea.

If you keep playing the same number of tables you'll be making more hands/h, so probably you can reduce tables and keep making the same hands/h as before and not timing out.

I really hate fast tables, I normally don't even join them, so prob good for the poker community, but not for us multi tablers

Short handed, especially HU on fast tables, is the worst.

i think if they do this then its becoming pretty obvious stars is attempting to level the playing field as much as possible, even if its scummy

They are fixing the broseph321 problem but they are 15 months late.

im sure fishs and recretional players get pissed w/ people taking so long to act and thats why stars id doing this.

anyone here ever tried play only 1 or 2tables ? sometimes i do, only when you are 1tabling you will notice how long time people take to act. theres 5regs and the fish at the table., every reg 10tabling, fish insta fold, or insta call, every reg take some seconds, many of them almost time out a bit often. one hand take more than it should... its boring for the amateur who has poker as a hobby.

if theres only one broseph it was fine, but when everyone take too much time, then can't be fine.

i also dont like fast tables, but snice people don't respect fishs and takes forever to act EVERY hand, EVERY time, then stars need do something.

Seems like a really bad idea that will cost Stars quite a lot of rake since people are afraid of timing out on fast tables and play fewer then they ideally would like when they are generally more protected on normal tables. Also sometimes you have complex decisions for quite a bit of money you would have the chance to analyze.

I dont buy that fish play so much faster then lots of regs either.

There might be room for being to slow with current normal tables but fast tables is not the solution in my mind, and really bad service for lots of regular players.

Agreed, I def try to close down fast tables when they get HU while trying to get games going again on normal ones generally speaking.

Its superhard to start fast 6max tables while you play other tables and would not be good if less of the regs cant start tables while playing 6max sessions if they change it.

Fast ante tables would def be a joke.

if they were so concerned they would lower the max number of tables.

The company is scummy and destroying the game and answering emails quick does not make up for that

I play 12tbls without any troubles what so ever but when only like 3 of them is fast tbls it's hard to handle and i start timing out all tbls

If they would make all tbls fast tbls i prob would not put in this volume on stars

Fast tables would be a disaster.they are horrible. A compromise wouldn't be too bad- say bigger timebanks or something to that effect.

I can see why many players don't like it, but fast tables are clearly better for the games in the long run (for the reasons urubu posted). Every reg will just have to play a few tables less, but will also get (significantly) more hands/hour/table given everyone is acting faster. Ideally every table is fast but they add extre timebank ( I def want to be able to analyze important hands and make better decisions, the annoying thing is just that so many ppl take time preflop where they basicalyl know their range already)

i think a compromise like splitting the difference between fast and normal for all tables with a slightly larger timebank would be ok. all fast is terrible however, even 6 tabling all fast is difficult.

I just hate how the river plays out on fast tables. They really need to make that a normal time count for the most important street.

Extra time on the river is fine imo, it's mostly preflop- and flop-play where most regs take WAYYY too much time given that they know their decision within seconds most of the time.

I'm probably the only dumb ass grinder, who cascades the tables. Fast table would really ruin my game and I have to get my lazy ass from the coach and starting grinding on a 30'' again

I'm avoiding fast tables as much as I can as well. That change would probably result in me leaving for other sites again.

I used to start up as many fast 2/4 tables in December as I could get going lol l I remember people were saying i should open normal speed instead because after a long session almost all the tables would be fast. Both versions are basically the same for me but when I was 1-3 tabling below 5/10 the regs would take ****ing forever to act. Above it really isn't an issue at all though because hardly anyone is mass tabling

Seems like this would hurt stars more then anything

ya, +1 to joey. just people who sometimes play 1-3tables see how boring is when players take so much time to act. as joey said its a issue at mid stkes, not at highstaks.

agreed w above, good move by stars IMO. Having these 24 tablers on midstakes time down constantly makes the game way more boring for casual players.
