I ground my roll for plo25 up from plo10, but then I'm still working from the initial $50 I put on stars the other year and don't want to stick any more on. The rake is a killer, but not much you can do about that. Just be patient, it's a good learning process, if a bit slow. I'm about rolled for 50 at the moment, hoping to be playing at least 100 by year end.

Ok cool. I hit a nice heater this past weekend after depositing 30 bucks on FTP. Ran it up to about 6k. However I need the money so I cashed everything but 1200 out. I think I am going to 2 table one PLO50 and one PLO25 until I get to around 2k or so.

Yeah, I'm a total bankroll nit and will probably never go on a big heater and spin $100 into $10k over a weekend or anything. I'm happy enough making a few extra hundred here and there when playing in my spare time, because it's useful fun money to have. I would be playing a bit higher, but I've withdrawn from my roll recently to pay for a new laptop and a ski trip, and I'm not convinced I'd be amazing at higher levels.

It also helps that I got quite lucky early on and ran waaaay over expectation in a few $4.40 180 man sng's, which gave me a bit of a cushion.

We gonna see that more and more. The new VIP system and promotions like the January sale are attracting multitabling nits like crazy.

I think it's huge problem that the VIP system doesn't offer too much for the low volume, recreational players - does somebody know how to get RB at Full Tilt if i registered through the wrong affiliate 5 years ago?

But maybe it's just the start of the year and it will get better once people start to give up on SNE...

I couldn't play 5/4 even if I wanted to. Hell, even when I end up trying to play 13+ tables, I still end up playing pretty close to my normal stats.

Bleh. I can't do that. Even when WPEX was 100% rakeback and it didn't really matter how I did from actual play, I was always more focused on my results from play to the detriment of my overall earn. I play poker because I think I can make money... and I think I can eventually move up and make even more; just trying to collect VPPs feels so antithetical to that.

you know tshgst is not all that great these days. i think he is either playing too many tables or tilting a little, cause he seems to be stacking off with all sorts of draws on the flop. oh and if he bets pot then he has a nice hand. he kept betting pot at me with quads

yep, tshgst does not play very good last few days, saw him spewing quite a bit and calling off his stack when he was well beaten. anyway it is zekgb and his little doctor evil who always shows up with a crushing hand, even if he plays very nitty.

I always assumed tshgst was losing or breakeven at best until I looked at his results. Quite shocking he has won so much, doesn't really make any sense after playing with him a good bit.

On the other end of the spectrum, I saw some of you guys talking about Wintermag either in this thread or some other one recently, saying that he was a beast and so good or whatever. Lol at that, he's barely breakeven at .5/1 and 1/2 and gets crushed whenever he plays higher than that. I have owned his soul ever since we first played together on bodog 3 years ago. Plus the guy is a total douche.
