I used to get very angry about this too, but now I really could care less, I would rather have him on my left, so when a weak player joins the table I am guaranteed to have position on him while it is 3 handed and rate to have better position on the weak player when table fills than if reg had sat across with proper etiquette. If you play a maniacal style like me, it's slightly obnoxious to have a good reg on your left, but most regs at the stakes aren't good enough to punish you too badly even with direct position, and if the reg isn't too aggro or good and you are a tightish player too, think it is advantage to be oop to him actually.

twosevoff was such a ******ed, terrible luckbox regfish. I heard he went busto and ran up a ton of debt and is now grinding it out at a fast food restaurant lol. Serves him right for getting so lucky for so long.

fair enough, it just bothers me a whole lot more when this happens and we are 250bb deep to start with. i don't mind as much at the regular tables.

Don't get me wrong, from a etiquette person the person taking direct position on you every single time when you're starting new tables is being a douche so it is a bit irritating from that standpoint. But from a ev perspective, I don't think it is that big of a disadvantage and I might go as far to say that it is often an advantage to have the tight, somewhat competent player have direct position on you. If they're really good/aggro I'd rather have them across the table from me, but really good players generally have enough class not to take direct position.

On a related note, what are your guy's thoughts about when a weak player (someone with a 40%vpip or sitting with 189.70 at a 1/2 table) is sitting alone at a 6max table. Should you take direct position or sit directly across?

direct position AINEC imo

Yeah that's what I usually do, esp. when it is likely they are clueless/could care less, feel a bit scummy though when guy is semireg who probably knows what I am up to (for instance a 40/25 spewtard).

It's been a while but i've finished the next installment of The Ultimate Guide to Supernova Elite via Pot Limit Omaha – Part 4: Increasing your Winrate.

I hope everyone enjoys this one as much as the previous ones. I took a bit of a break from writing the guides (it started off as post-black friday downtime, then extended through wsop time) but i'm back and will try and finish the final few parts in the coming months. As always suggestions and comments are welcomed and appreciated

TY Roy; how many more are coming? Do you have the subject already?!

I don't actually know how many more i'm going to do -- i'd say likely between 2 and 5 more.

I don't have exact topics in mind but I have rough talking points. There are more tips I will add in a later one that I didn't include in this, some more math I want to expand upon, a more detailed post on health and fitness and how that affects your game.

If you have suggestions or if there's something in particular you want me to expand upon please let me know and i'll be happy to include it in a post or make an entire section out of it.

^^ would be much appreciated i think. I actually don't have any other suggestions; which was actually the reason for asking the other topics .

cmon guys this is getting ridiculous. loads and loads of tables running with an average waitlist of about 5 people.

i don't get why people don't start more tables.

do they think fish wants to sit on a waitlist or play right away?

plus it's good to practice HU for a few minutes every time you play.

Regarding the stars vip program, i rake 4,5k-5k month , i need ~17k rake per year to reach supernova and ~170k for SNE.

12 months x ~4,5k / month is 54k or 37k more than the needed rake if i never move up during the whole year to reach SN.

Wondering if i should play at stars, tired to move from site to site every month and keep max 1500-2000, but probably will lose a lot from rb if stars don't improve their system soon/the new year for players from my range. Thoughts?
