Once again, it cracks me up when somebody plays< 10k hands with me(or any reg) and thinks they have ab idea how I actually run.

Yes, I'm pretty sure I ran above ev last year,so 30 bis below ev in < 4k hands isn't gross for1 sesh ? Haven't seen a worse/equal bad run over similar sample posted.

I'm grumpy.

IBUF33 I would bet lots o monies that you ran above EV last year (by a large margin most likely), I think its pretty safe to say that my lots o monies would be safe

If you really want to feel unlucky, run your session through the variance calculator at evplusplus and I suspect you will see that your run is probably a one in a thousand type event or even less likely than that.

I did that for my epic bad run in November and it was kinda amusing and kinda disheartening all at the same time. Its funny to calculate how many millions of hands you "should" have to play before being likely to see an event of that magnitude again (I realize that statistics don't quite work that way but it does put it in perspective a bit)

yea you are

you can take some shots at 50 with 1500 but would be more comfortable with 2k

Meh I am running way above EV, so I am stealing the EV from SSPLO on stars.

+1.4k, ev is -1.7k

No way that pic is Twosevoff but i have no idea.

Eff all ya'll running above EV.....my losing streak continues This game is dumb. I am dumb for playing it.

On a side note I played HUDless for the first half of my session and thought I played so much better. I then tried using just a basic HUD showing only VPIP/PFR/AGG/3bet and disabled my popup, which I think was the best feeling so far. I spew much less w/o all those damned numbers.

There is not one person who has ever sweated an MTT of mine who would say I run good at them

IBUF33 if you actually do run bad overall (you don't) it is very easy for players to have a misconception of how you run when you have posted on separate occasions and different sample sizes, 2 graphs where your EV is at essentially 0bi yet winnings are at 50 and 70bi. You would need to some dickkempesque disillusionment (where you run like 2.5ptBB above EV for like 750K hands or w/e and try to convince players you run bad) to actually think you do run bad. you and dickkemp, but I'm just breaking it down for others who may have been convinced by your or his "run bad" shenanigans

And fwiw the reason I have been "less miserable" Is that I haven't played PLO cash in like 3 weeks

pkrtxs, i'll leave you with one of my favorite HH from my latestest MTT grind (1/6):

Full Tilt, NL Hold'em Tournament, 1,500/3,000 Blinds, 400 Ante, 8 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

UTG+1: 78,875

Pre-Flop: (7,700) J J dealt to Hero (BB)
6 folds, SB raises to 54,623 and is All-In, Hero calls 51,623

Turn: (112,446) 8 (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Results: 112,446 Pot
SB showed 5 J and WON 112,446 (+59,323 NET)
Hero showed J J and LOST (-51,623 NET)

63 players left when it happened (obv for a pretty big chip lead over average stack if you look at my table as I was already like 3rd or 4th in chips), ended up busting later with JJ vs ATs aipf.

Also 2 hands late in the 3r where again I was chip leader with <50 people left before getting royally screwed somehow.

This BBV **** should stay out of the Stars reg thread, but since we are somewhat on the topic of how I do in MTTs (apparently I run good which is news to me):

[ ] Getting it in good and holding up

[ ] Sucking out (notice how the majority of hands have a R[aise] in the column for preflop action, meaning that when I'm "getting it in bad" I'm shoving with FE and getting snapped, not snapping a shove and looking like a bonehead on a regular basis)

there is so much more involved in "running good" in mtt's than just: my hand was favorite and lost/won etc. its impossible to even measure imo. all the the times u get a big hand in right spot, tight blinds on ur left etc

ssplo egos gonna ego.

i think there is an mtt forum for mtt-ers. lots of ppl to not get along with there.
