Denmark just got games regulated as well, so people can play tax free on Stars.

I don't mind all the regs going... I guess I have to make a bigger effort to start games.

I'm allways willing to start games on ipoker. Most of the time it's a fish that sits first.

Looks like they might be doing it after all, starting Monday. At least according to pokerisivut, the "weighted contributed" system is taking into account your winnings, which is basically Essence.

Weighted contributed just means that you only get rake according to how much money you put in the pot.
According to the info release from Ipoker that's all that's happening.
So unless they're lying, all the change means is that the more money you put in the pot, the more of the rake is going back to you.

Before that, rake was just divided between players in the pot. In the previous system the guy who put in 2 cents got the same rb as the guy who put in 20 dollars.

i thought this system was just called 'contributed' and the new 'weighted contributed' is just a name for the new system which is more essence like. I might be wrong here.

edit: also i'm pretty sure ipoker used 'contributed' before, not 'dealt'

Quote:
POKERISIVUT:

Weighted contributed method:

- Player's Score = (Contribution Percentile * Contribution Weight) + (Income Ratio Percentile * Income Ratio Weight)
- Score Ratio = (Player's Score) / (Sum of Scores)
- Adjusted Player Rake = (Original Player Rake) * (1 – Adjusted Rake Weight) + Score Ratio * Game Rake * Adjusted Rake Weight
- Contribution Percentile is between 1 and 100, where top positive contribution receives a score of 100 and lowest receives a score of 1.
- Contribution Weight is a percentile to adjust the Total contribution of the player.
- Income Ratio Weight is a percentile to adjust the Total Income of the player.
- Income Ratio Percentile - calculation for positive and negative contributors is done separately. Here positive and negative is used in the sense of players contributing positive or negative in favor of the licensees. Total Contribution = Total Wins – Total Bets + Total Rake
- Sum of Scores is calculated from all players’ score, whose rake contribution is > 0, i.e. the player with Original Player Rake > 0.
- Original Player Rake is the player contribution rake according to the distribution method.
- Game Rake is the total rake in the hand.
- Adjusted Rake Weight is the rake percentage to be adjusted.
^too lazy to read any of that right now but there it is^^

plo100?

i came back to online poker after playing 4-5 months only live poker , dropped from plo100 to plo20-50 to get used to it again at i-poker and all i see is full tables of 20/12 regs even at plo20..

i think its not even worth the time to play those games

If you don't like consistently winning, then yes, it is not worth it.

Not sure what time you're sitting at those tables, but I only play on the Ipoker network and at those limits. Not everyone is 20/12, there is plenty of money to be made.

I know there is a still a waitlist if u click on the table, but before there was a tab in the lobby where u can see the waitlist along with hands per hr, how many ppl r sitting at the table, etc. Is that tab now totally gone?

PARTY POKER PLAYERS

can someone just confirm this for me.... if i want to make palladomium status i have to wait until next quarter (APR-JUN) to earn 9,000 partypoint things

therefore there would be not much point to start playing on party now cause my status thing will reset in 2 weeks??
***Official IPOKER/ONGAME/MPN/PARTY/MERGE/REVOLUTION Regulars Thread**** Quote

justfold, yes, you are correct that playing now will not help you earn palladium status. however, you only use your status when you actually purchase a bonus. so any points that you earn in the next two weeks will be redeemed at the palladium rate when you buy the bonus.
for example, you could earn 1000 points a month for 5 years, never spend any points, then grind out 9000 in one quarter and cash in all the points at the palladium rate (about 30 percent rakeback).

only 30% ????

i thought it was somewhere around the 40 mark ? :S

If you get palladium elite, I think you can get 50%. But that takes 40k points quarterly, or 20k rake over a 3 month period.

Are there ever a lot of shallow tables running on iPoker? Or are there usually only 2/3 going?
