Yeah, I've got disconnected a couple of times too after UK 11 PM, it was worse than usual (mind that the Oct 7 update has made the soft heavier in general; I appreciate the checkmate table theme from the cloud, though ). Don't forget to resync HHs ('My Account' -> 'Cash Table History' -> click on certain table sessions and 'Update local info' there).

Returning to toast notifications, I've switched them off as they're useless, only resteal focus from other tables when it's not needed.

is it just me or have all regs changed their screennames on ipk speed?

has every1 moved to betfair and changed their names?

Not everyone could move to Betfair because they tag only a short list of countries to affiliates, but yes, hopping skins and thus SNs is a common and anticipated practice.

Please note that this is a thread for PLO regs; posts about 2-card poker should go into reg threads of dedicated subforums

As Betfair now has a Zoo support thread, could existing Betfair customers (say, Rocky ) or affiliates (you know who ) please raise some network-wide issues that are annoying them?

It looks like PLO20 needs a special lower HU rake cap: there are very few table-starting regs at this level, so games get started by fishes , who're often blind to table attributes; as a result, there are tons of $4 shortstacks, but I have to deal with them as I get too little action when starting 50-100 bb tables.

At illiquid hours like 3-7 AM GMT, PLO50 tables (and PLO100 too iirc) outweigh PLO20 6-to-2 even when I'm around; I imagine how it is when I'm not around.

Blame Coral, gg iPoker PLO50: there's now a second 16-tabler there, not any higher (r**t, not the same man as p**p as they're sitting together). He's already raked >$2354 in November (up to yday's 8:45 GMT) In my DB, he's 15/15/4 over 60. Those who've already faced him more, is he any good?

Last edited by coon74; 11-06-2013 at 08:56 PM. Reason: I checked Coral's central race instead of the aff one

I have like roughly 4k hands with him with him at 22/17/8. Hes running pretty terrible so far like 700 under EV at 50

gg iPoker 50 because they have 16-tablers playing due to a Coral promotion? Surely there are other skins with comparable promotions.
I think 16 tablers are only really bad if they are slowing down the games a lot.

They are slowing games down. Coral is not the only skin with promos treating 5xSN-SNE-equivalent volume well (with 80%+ returns) but only one of the few, and the fewer of them there are, the fewer welcome boni these grinders can take (the problem is that most aff races are too shallow for these big guys so massive central races are needed, tbh idk why p-p is still at Paddy - does he really want to grind for an Irish Open BI? :rolleyes). I'm on the verge of telling them to go make SNE next year next time they suck out on me (they're responsible for a big part of losses of such unflexible fish as me ).

How do you get an Irish Open BI through Paddy by grinding? Can you link me to the promo? Betfair seems to have the craziest promotions in terms of possible return and it's probably the easiest to obtain, as in it's not just limited to those who can generate the most rake, but all that can generate high rake.
Fwiw, the returns are greater than SNE returns and much lower stress, since you don't have to concentrate for an entire year to get there.

The BI is the top prize of Paddy's Moneyball, requiring $11250 in rake during the 20 days following the opt-in... not in this life

I agree that Betfair is currently the nut iPoker skin promotion-wise (especially for such SN-2xSN volume folks as me), but we'll see what the new lads on the block will bring next year

I see, thanks for linking to that. I am pretty sure these promos are deducted from rakeback on Paddy though. Not 100% sure how it would work if you got a package though, but they might just deduct the monetary value of the buy-in.
This is also why Betfair returns are so high, because they don't deduct bonusses and such from rakeback. You can sometimes get more than 100% rakeback if you win all the main races.

I mean it's hard to go wrong with one of the major sportsbooks if reliable cashouts is one of your criterea. I used to play on Coral on Ongame and I had no issues. The good thing about sportsbooks is also that there are loads of independent reviews on how reliable their cashouts are.

True that, the only false step I've seen from them so far is the way they handled tourney tokens during the migration to iPoker.

Yea that sucks. I know they paid me 1000$ when they moved to iPoker which was nice, because the points were hard to convert to cash, but I'm sure that was on the lower side of what I could have received (compensation was capped at 1k$).
With non-PokerStars sites I don't really expect to see a lot of good will, but no strings attached cash was good for me at the time. A shame people had issues with their tournament tickets.

The regs who are starting tables at PLO50 @ ipoker: You either play HU vs other regs or don't. Don't ******* steal the blinds/play 1 pot IP and then sitout. That's ******* ********. If you don't play HU vs. other regs while starting tables, then you sitout and that's it.

Regards,

I signed up to play on Titan poker to play their WSOP Satellites for a ME package. I was just playing a $70 satellite to their $550 ME package tournament. I had been playing for close to 3 hours and the ME satellite was still 10 minutes before it's start time. We are down to 24 players with 15 entries into the $550 ME, $8K prize pool so a few bucks for 16th and 17th. I am in the blinds in 15th with crap cards when a message comes up, “Satellite will end in 3 minutes and top 15 will advance”

WTF, how can a satellite end before it plays out to the top 15 seats? I have to fold to a shove, more crap cards in SM so have to fold down to 17th. Other players with enough chips to easily keep them in the top 15 time bank to use up the 3 minutes so only a few hands get played and I drop to 18th, no money no ticket.

Support was kind enough to offer me $5 token. I feel it should have been chopped for $332 each or played out. Their excuse was that the satellite has to finish before the event it is feeding starts???

I have not seen this on any other site so be warned. Let me know if it has happened to you and if you got any recourse. I expect I will just close my account and call it lesson learned. I will just play on a reliable site.

Yeah, this is the standard on iPoker, and it is just a horrible policy. They had this policy before they introduced Late Reg, and never changed it. I would say most people now know in advance that this is the system they use so be aware of it for next time. That doesn't make the policy any less horrible, it's def worth complaining to support about but they'll probably never change.

Just in case, how many HU hands are enough to make you satisified when you're starting a table and how many - when a full table breaks? I find any even or two-digit number quite fair. (On rare occasions when I do start tables, I play dozens of hands there, don't worry.)

In this case I was talking about the dudes who steal blinds and sitout and leave. OR they try to steal the blinds and play the hand in position (when called pf, obv) and if they happen to win the hand, they sitout/leave. Thats just sad and shows 0 sportsmanship. At least play 2 hands or sitout right away and dont pull off some cheap tricks like that. Otherwise I don't care if they don't want to play me. We can just sitout together and wait for more people to join or something.

E: and yes, I know your SN and you haven't been one of those I was talking about

It might be best to report everybody who behaves that way and maybe post suspected SNs in this thread. Not sure how effective it will be to report players, but I think if certain players get a lot of reports iPoker might do something about it.

It's better than not doing anything. If 10-20 people report one player for the same incident, the offending player may receive a warning. It is not a big effort to report a player for unsporting behaviour.
