Hi all,

This hand hero is in the CO with AJT75ds (hhcc) and opens to $55 - misclick, forgot the $25 straddle was on. Anyway, V in BB 3! $150 and hero calls $1,300 eff. V is a reg who bets aggressively with his draws and made hands.

Flop ($325): Q-J-5ssd. We have bottom two and a gutter. V bets $200, hero calls. Anyone make an early fold here?

Turn ($725): Kd bringing bdfd. We improve to the nut straight and still have two pair. V bets $500. We could be freerolled here or V could be pricing himself in with a draw (set+fds or whatnot). We could flat with $500 behind but we don't know what we need to fade on the river and V could sometimes bluff us off the best hand. We are also in position, however. But this is such a dynamic board, hero is inclined to jam. Even if we are freerolled we do have a little backup in our two pair.

Thanks,
DT

Jam as played.

Folding the flop against some tighter players is probably ok. Assuming villain is not auto-cbetting, this particular sizing looks rather strong and would not expect much fold equity if we raise.

Even though our implied odds appear good at a glance they aren't clean or kill outs and we should fold most turns when we don't improve.

Do you have an idea of the villians 3b range? In the games that I play often there is a huge variability of 3b range. Some are AA always, others it's double suited akq with 2 low cards or something like that.

I typically try to have some sort of threshold limit for hands. Position, Nut Gutter, mid pair and bdfd. It is a borderline hand for me. I normally use a fd blocker as a deciding factor occcassionly.

On the turn I think we just need to get it in. We have 2 blockers for boats or backup against chop of same hand. I do on occassion call in some sort of spot, but it's normaly deeper
