NL player transitioning to Omaha. NL player transitioning to Omaha.

As a no limit hold em player I strongly believe that branching out into Omaha can have benefits on ones NLHE game. especially due to how important it is in Omaha to understanding how much of your play depends on understanding how a hand interacts with the board and opponents ranges, and using that do choose the most optimal bluffing spots. This aspect is amplified in Omaha due to having more hold cards resulting in a requirement for more complex calculations of betting ranges.

I am looking to get feedback during my transition to Omaha, so that any early leaks in my game can be demolished.

In the first hand, does it seem that hand strength was gauged correctly here? I estimated it being very strong starting hand due to broadways and double suited - this is almost always a 3bet preflop, per my reasoning

On the the flop, I determined this would be a great spot to double barrel with any non flush turn card.

H1 - I'd probably just call this preflop. It's not nut DS so prefer a call instead. At this point you're representing AA, so the flop I'd probably just pot it - you have to bet/call for the most part if he shoves, and if he calls a lot of turns are hard to play.

H2 - I might just flick it in to call on the button - you have a nut suit but there's limited connectivity. The flop call is horrible - the turn bluff ends up working but it's extremely dicey and not profitable.

You need to be playing much tighter than you think.

Hand 1, not a squeeze, overvaluing the wrong double-suited hands is a very common beginner error. Postflop i think checkback flop is probably fine.

Hand 2, pre-flop is fine but turbo-fold the flop. We missed and have limited potential to improve. AK is much weaker than it is in NL.
