Thinking was I had a lot of good back doors - and could rep an ace but i'm gonna have to give up on a lot of cards - may fold to 4bet - He obviously had clubs or some whacky 2 pair

I was 23/17/5 - he was 25/17/4 so similar stats

Fold flop. You're not deep enough to float with such low equity.

Don’t like the 3bet pre.

Fold flop.

Without a club in your hand or bdfd, I don't think there's any stack depth at which you can call the flop. We have no draw, no pair, and no visibility. Adding 1000bbs couldn't make it +ev against an unknown with TAG stats.

At this stack depth, even with a club in your hand and a bdfd, you should still be folding, though. Because you still have no pair, no draw, no visibility, and you need a perfect runout like this one in order to get him to fold, and he still might turn up with a good A and decide to look you up.

At first I hated the 3b but thinking more about it I like it. This hand sucks multiway so getting HU IP is not a bad result. Flop is def spew - on the turn you hit basically the ideal card to bluff, although you still have to worry about 45. Just fold flop and move on.

Cool bluff, I like how your plan in the hand developed as the runout got better for your perceived range. Well done.

(But fold flop.)

I think you can just fold preflop

This is not the kind of hand you want to play in a high rake environment in a pot. Don't get me wrong, the hand is okay but from this position it doesn't cut it.

It's not a huge mistake.
