I have played a lot of high stakes NL and have had better than average results. My friend runs a 25/50/100 PLO every Thursday night and I have played in it about 10 times with 1 winning session. I just seem to be ahead and even if I have complete NUTZ with one card to go we run it twice and I end up with a chop. If I re-pot with top set I always seem to get coolered for 5 figure pots. I stopped playing the game about 2 months ago and am going to give it another shot as I feel I have run unusually bad. The people in the game are super loose and are a mixture of businessmen and a few pros and Ive seen the worst rec players go home with almost 6 figures. I tend to be just as loose and mix it up with avg. to premium starting hands ,I guess my question is should I nit it up and just play premium hands even though I see players in game play the the worst starting hands and scoop 25k pots on a regular basis.

Why would you even play?

Either you are that bad that you can't win in this game and just overrate yourself...
Or you were just unlucky, if you play like 20h/hour and you ever went through an average online downswing take a look at it how many hands it did last - and you can easily count how many years this can take live til that amount of hands is over (ok, I am aware that in livegames the people usually play much worse than online, so it prolly wont last years, but still some months depending on how much you play obv).
Or, the game is just rigged. Thats why I mostly stopped playing private games, just play them when I know the guy who runs it and the dealer very, very well and I am sure i can trust em 100%. These days there are so many technical solutions easily to order/buy, that imo there always is a very high chance that the game could be rigged, esp as higher as it is...

Game is not rigged as it is played at a major casino but you make a great point about how many hands Ive played online in NL and have been on a 3 month horror losing streak at one time or another. Im gonna play the same way ive played in the past because I am not lying about how unlucky ive run on the turn and river . Lets hope for my sake variance catches up....Thank you... Nothings changed ...haha...lost 3 buy-ins in 90 min including top set to be drawn out on (he ran it once) middle set to top set ...all in on flop and pissed away another 2500 with 2-3 various hands that were second best. did win one 4500 pot with AAQ4... HIT A LOW STR...LOL... IM DONE L8ER

Seems like ur having trouble finding spots where u can atleast be redrawing with ur sets. The game I play in is simular but alittle smaller. 5-10-25 sometimes with the 50 on it. The hands ur talking about above seem kinda small for a 25/50/100 game

Yes.. this game started at 5/10/25 and I was buying in at 5k a pop

I've found with big live PLO games that if you don't win when you go all-in, then you're almost defo going to lose your money.
