Tough spot here although I think I made the correct play:

Hero UTG with KdKh8d8h with 135BB
Main Villain BB. Has 200 BB. 31/19/15 stats. I have a note that they didn't 3bet AAxx one time from the btn after I raised and someone called.

Pre-flop: Hero raises, MP calls, CO calls, BTN folds, SB folds, BB calls

Was really hoping for a 3bet so I could 4bet but happy with my hand mw.

Flop ($1.45): Td9d3s

BB checks, Hero checks MP checks, CO checks.

I debated on raising here as I block potential straights, have an overpair and 2nd nut flush draw but I'm trying to check more of these hands on the flop although to be honest with 2 players left to act and BB who could go for the check raise I decided to play it slow.

Turn($1.45): Qd

BB checks, hero checks, MP checks, CO bets half pot to $0.73, BB small check raise to $2.19, hero insta-calls, MP folds, CO folds.

Maybe I should've led this turn but happy to see some betting so I called. Villain at this point can either have the nut flush or straight or was fooling around with the bare Ad

River ($6.56): 5d

BB almost immediate pot bet, hero?

I figure I'm up either against the nut flush or villain is holding the bare Ad. I think this is usually the nut flush and maybe sometimes a bluff. An almost instant shove though makes me wonder if they were trying to pretend to be strong? What should I do?

I'm torn between checking and leading this flop. You have straight blockers, an overpair and 2nd nut flush but at the same time, it's still a dicey board for you.

When I see a small check raise, I see that as a a probe of sorts - like maybe, I have a set of tens but I don't like the flush and a small c/r allows me to show some strength and draw for a paired board.

I think we have to call the river here.

My thoughts exactly on the flop. Against one opponent I think I’d lead but against 3 others I wasn’t sure.

Do you think on river villain wouldn’t prefer to check call with a set?

Yes, I do think he'd prefer to check call with a set.

The more I think about this, the more I think leading the flop is the right move. You've got blockers on each end and a diamond higher than a jack.

The way we play it looks like we have a set or low flush.

So think we have to call river.

Think we should bet at least either flop or turn.

I folded this hand so will never know what villain had but looking back I think I should've bet the flop even into 4 opponents. I was so worried that T9 would be in someone's calling range but I do have blockers, fd plus if the three pairs I'll have a better two pair than T9.

Just ran this in pro poker tools using a 25% calling range for 3 opponents and it says I'm usually ahead and heads up I'd also be ahead.

If we call turn we should call river. So yea if we think villain has it we should fold turn

I’m not sure on wanting to 4 bet this pre…. It’s very disconnected…

I would most likely fold the turn. Even if a flush hits you don’t know if you have the best hand..

agree this hand just wants to call a 3bet. We don't block AA and would be in bad shape gii pre
