Had a pretty damn good week, like 15 BI upswing. If only it could last...

Finally adjusting to 50PLO though, and soon enough I'll have my hands on that $250 bonus.

Hi all,

I'm new here (on the PLO forum) and new to the game, so I thought I would post my 1st total beginner's question here in the LC thread.

Ok so basically I played my first game today, PLO25 6max. I have zero reads on villains, I'm in position with TT4h3h on a JT5 rainbow board. A utg guy bets pot, I pot it again, he pots and we end up all in.

Is middle set an instant all in on the flop in Plo? Many thanks.

Oh and one last question: why isn't there a beginners thread ? Also a sticky with links to great threads and wells would be great

Cheers,

Cheers,
if it's a limped pot you can get away, it's hard to do though
if it's a raised pot you should have folded pre, probably should for a limp too

hello, 2 more vids will be released this month, glad you liked them...

as for differences, id say there are some decent players and the fish are usually more aggro but all in all there is not a huge jump---

btw, anybody followed the hastings/gus match ? sorry but hastings got owned really bad, gus was superior... and all this talk about hastings selling his pieces, i think he had at least 50%, i mean if he only had like 25%, why bother playing at all ? why not play 25/50 all day like cts

If krmont has a read that you'll bet all your semi-bluffs on the turn, I think his raise is good. He plays pretty TAG and almost never tilts from the hands I have on him. In general against a smart aggro player, that is a terrible spot to bet the turn though, as the stacks are such that a C/R kills pretty much the entire value of your hand.

I maybe didn't put enough thought in to it as I just tend to auto-bet this turn against most opponents assuming they are getting stubborn with a weak draw or weak made hand and I have fold equity. In the hand I actually didn't realize he had lead in to me on the flop (another reason I shouldn't play 9 tables), which is more likely to slow me down on the turn because then I weight his holding more towards made hands looking to check-raise the turn, as I think he is just bet/folding weak made hands or weak draws. I was just surprised it was such a weak made hand that was doing it because I could easily have some sort of AK combo in my hand or a set obv. He has the straight outs at least though, which makes it a bit better I guess. Not really sure if he is +EV against my range there though. If anything I am probably going to be more wary of him from now on so he is pwning me in a metagame sense.

I could be thinking of someone else... but I think krmont is anything but TAG lately
