Presumably this is OK (well, I would think that or I wouldn't have played it that way...) but just wanted to clarify.

Is the PFR OK 4handed?

I guess if I jam turn I run into JTxx a lot?

Am I potentially missing value on the river or is it an easy check back?

People almost never check the nuts with 40 bigs left in a 75 bigs pot. Would guess you're more likely to get the same straight to fold as you are a better straight to call.

Yeah that makes sense. Presumably the turn call is best over jamming, though?

Turn call >>> jamming. The only draws are up to 4 outs to a higher straight and 10 outs to pair. Short of broadway on a rainbow board, you're never going to have as dry a made straight board. And people don't turn up with sets as often on this board as on a broadway board, and they certainly don't bet them with a high frequency. So raising mostly folds out worse and keeps in better. Your hand is a perfect bluffcatcher.

I check flop.

3 ways you aren't going to get 3 streets of value with 2nd nuts.

Holding the 9 is not good because you block hands that can give you value. For example, holding a 7 is better because you still block the board pairings but you unblock the 98,99 type hands that will call.

Holding Ad same kinda concept.

I think we definitely need to bet the flop - there's obviously value to be had and the chances of a diamond or board pairing card coming on the turn and river is very high. We can also use some protection on a texture like this - I'd also size up, this isn't T52r type of board. On the turn I'd just jam it - this is 5 cent plo so you're probably getting called by a worse straight and they didn't raise the flop so I would discount JT somewhat. Even when they have JT you're probably going broke the way this hand played out and we can still protect our equity against a lot of rivers.
