I haven't played PLO in awhile but it's the game I want to get good at. Getting 2:1 on a call in position felt correct here with 4 connected cards w a flush draw, although not the nut FD. Flopped an OESD, though with a paired board and I have the bottom part of the straight. Villain pots, again I'm getting 2:1 and so my pot odds seem good enough to call, and on this board if I'm not calling I should just fold pre. End up folding to another pot sized bet on turn. I fold since I'm drawing to a medium straight, no flush opportunities. Want to hear what everyone thinks

preflop is fine - folding flop is standard

Great, thanks Mark. If the board wasn't paired in most cases am I good to call?

Agree with pre fine and flop fold. Your discussion and follow up q highlight that while you're thinking about equity, you're not considering playability. Being in position gives you inherent playability. But just drawing at every non nut holding will lead to problems.

This is what I was thinking but didn't say as eloquently as Munga. It's important advice about how to think about these spots so really think hard about what he said.

Paired Board .. no nuts .. basically no way to improve .. crossing your fingers for two streets in PLO typically doesn't work out in the long run.

You're just getting started at this table, but it appears that you'll have plenty of opportunity to tangle with this V based on the limited stats shown. What are you folding that you've only played 1 of 12 hands?

This holding is good to run with, especially in position, it just didn't work out this time. AND, you're playing PLO, so next time is not too far away! GL

Super helpful everyone, thanks! Playability is exactly the word I was thinking, felt uncomfortable post flop. Lot more hands to play and I'll keep posting
