No need to read the hand – it’s pretty straightforward, but I do wonder about flop. My biggest question is if KcJh9h8c is a hand you want to limp and see a flop vs weak/loose players in position or do you want to raise knowing a shorty will shove any four cards for $50 and maybe fold out a few limpers? Is this a fold on the button w/ limps from bad players?

This is a 1/2 NLHE game, $500 max, with one hand of 1/2 $5 bring-in PLO once a round after a $5 PLO bomb pot. Most players are not PLO players and are very loose/gambl-y playing PLO.

H ($450): MAWW, seen as tight/aggressive in NLHE, and they all know I play PLO and am happy to gamble a bit.

V1 ($500): OBG, terrible PLO player but not bad at NLHE. Tight and only bets when he has it, but he does bet when he has it.

V2 ($450): MAWW, she has been here for more than 24 hours from the previous day’s 1/2 NLHE game. Staying awake with booze and drugs. I arrived two hours before today’s game started and three of them were playing $25 PLO5/6 bomb pots, so I of course joined in. She had no idea how to play and would call almost any bet if she had any piece of a board. She’s in for at least $5,000. She is here to gamble and she is a wild card.

V3 ($400): OWG, bad loose/passive NLHE player who will gamble with little idea how to play PLO.

A non-important tight player, V1, and V2 and limp to me on the button, and I make it $15 because BB has $50 and I know it’s going in with any holding if someone raises. V3 calls, BTN makes it $50, non-important folds, V1, V2, Hero, and V3 call, so five to the flop w/ one of those all-in.

Flop (~$250): Jc3c2h, three checks to Hero. Pot, check, or bet something like $100?

Our hand plays generally well IP vs hands that want to limp/call. We dominate a decent amount of holdings and we can leverage position vs weak opponents.

With a BB that is shipping any 4, I think we still want to raise instead of limp as we still have the percieved option to repot. With AJ98ds it's an easy 4b, idk about this hand.

As for OTF I think easy pot with 1.8ish SPR; we can fold out hands with decent equity vs us (AX,QQ, pairs+gutters) and we can gii vs hands that we have crushed.

I like side pots .. I'm raising to $150-180 to start it up and be able to GII OTF 'for sure' .. especially from EP.
I like dead chips .. I'm raising to $150-180 to try and isolate (if possible) and possibly play a pot getting 4-1.

What is the 'proper' message to send to these Players PF .. 180 or pot? Will they know you are just trying to isolate?

I want to get rid of V1 .. or force him to show me that his holding is above average by calling/shoving into your re-raise. I'm more than willing to run it with V2 and I'm assuming that V3 will actually think before 'just following the crowd' into the fray after another show of force .. unless this is just another hand, so to speak.

This holding has 'deck' coverage except for 2,3,4 .. so you have a number of ways to connect with the Flop. Is there a lot of folding by Turn with these Players or are they just sticky? Modify your play based on that table dynamic. If these Players are prone to fold unless they 'really' connect then you can keep the pressure on after the Flop and pretty much never be shut out of backdoor equity. GL

From what I heard, she lost $10,000 the next weekend. I wasn't there.

FWIW, she and I gii on flop and she had KKXXr (no straight draw, one club) and she held, so I was about the only person to lose to her.
