London is so awesome in the summer when the weather is like it is now. There is always something good going on - festivals/ events/ parks/ sports/ restaurants/ bars/ theatres/ clubs whatever...

If you move south of the river it gets a bit harder to move around but if you're North then transport links are absolutely great (driving in London is usually a disaster - tube is often quicker than cabs).

You have to be prepared for crap weather a large proportion of the year though (i.e. rain, grey, cold) and cost of living is pretty high though.

Other thing is that the English/ Scottish countryside or coast is actually really beautiful if you're in to outdoors type stuff too. It's a small place - you can get to things quickly too.

+1 on london being awesome. A lot of people associate it with having bad looking girls and food, but this isnt true. The rest of the coutnry, perhaps, but Londons different, probably because a high % arent British.

deff set your grinding months to Nov through Feb, as it can get pretty misserable then.
