so i flopped a pretty good here i guess but ur always gonna feel like ur behind once u get called right? I got this hand in the bb with the sb and 2 other ppl in the pot blinds being 25c / 50c and i checked my option. i guess check-raising the flop or turn or both might have been better... i ended up check calling turn and river... All opionions will be much appreciated

Dealt to hero [T 2 J J]

Flop Q Q J
1 check , hero bets $2, BB calls, 2 folds

Turn 3

That's a pretty confusing way to post a hand history there buddy.
Bet the turn, check/call the river.

Stack sizes and reads please.

You can do some player dependent stuff on the turn (sometimes) but I bet the turn here and mix up cc and betting the river. You are playing .25/.5 tho, so I would always bet this river actually.

*edit*
Actually... I bet this river way more often than i CC even at higher limits.

I like a smaller bet on river to name your own price, then fold to a raise.

I dont disagree with this, but how do you feel about some of the future problems from this?

I dont really want to get into some stupid 6th level "he knows that I know that he knows that I know to adjust" stuff, but does betting a smaller amount on the river with your marginal (when raised obv) hands make your play exploitable in the future? I know there aren't many players at .5/1 that will take advantage of block/payoff river bets but I think it can cause the bad habit of betting less on rivers with weaker hands. Your range is already polarized on that river and when you make the adjustment to semi-balance the polar range (usually by betting less with overfulls to 'rep' weakness) you will fall into the trap of getting less value against the players that will always call down with hands as weak as straights, trips, underfulls, and even overpairs.

The other guy ahd a stack of about 120 and was very loose and i had about 50 but i kinda play a bit at all lower levels. So i had to play the turn harder i guess then since he was so loose and could just try to get me out the pot with a Q?
