cool hand i like it

axelf will always have aa here, or kk which is strong enough to screw your equity multi way

DB's post confused me. If he ever has KK, it's a clear jam.

1k effective and already 130 in, that means we need like 28%(?) Surely we easily have this against their ranges.

though AA was favored pre?

Change my answer after running some sims. Axelf can still have enough akkx to get it in. Think he should flat and will flat premium kings most of the time unless you're playing like a ******. This can all change depending on shortstackers vpip.

It's pretty close though!

In my post i say "amphi", but it should be flagell. I also somehow didn;t realise both opponents where 100bb deep, so i wasnt playing 135bb's during the hand (should play less tables). I think that changes a lot.

This was the actual hand below. In this case axel had akkx, which was really surpricing to me at that moment. But if doorbreads 28% is true, i made a correct fold cause i had only 27% in this setup. And this is while both opponents have only 1 flush combi and both my 4 and 2 are live. Though the 5678 is pretty devastating to my wheel outs. But when i saw these hands during the game i thought i made an awfull fold. So i was quite surpriced to see these numbers.
I had 27%, axel had 31% and flagel had 42%.

Some related funny thing that i think of now;

If Flagellators pushed pre (will make these calcs easy), his HM will show he got it in with 42% and 160$ dead money, resulting in a ev of -95$. While in reality we know he had by far the best of it. So if you make a lot of good assumptions and plays like this, you actually expect to run a bunch above EV . Maybe thats why i usually run above EV

You are slightly wrong there. He doesn't have the best of in in a HU pot even with the dead cards.

Ah true. But he still made a plus ev move with the dead money, whilst your HM shows minus ev. So the funny fact stands.

1-2-5 Live, 8 handed. Pretty soft game. SB is a bit on the tight predictable side; everyone else is spilly loose.

SB ($3000)
BB
UTG ($4000)
MP1
MP2
MP3 ($1000)
CU
BTN ($1500) ---> Hero

Hero has A556

2 limps, Hero limps, SB calls $5, BB calls, UTG raises to $15, 5 calls.

Flop: ($90) 2 3 T

SB bets $90, BB folds, UTG calls $90, 2 folds, MP3 calls $90, Hero raises to $500. SB reraises to $1770, UTG calls $1770, MP3 folds, Hero goes all in.

Reasoning: SB is ABC tight. Likely has a set. Because of how deep he is, he will probably fold 22 or 33 (or 3T if he has it). (He does play some small pairs) If he has TT, I'm screwed, but with some outs. (He in fact did have TT)

Okay to be aggressive here, or is calling way better?
***HSPLO QUICK CHECKUP THREAD*** Quote

I think calling is way better than raising, you are just way too deep to raise get it in + you are in position

First of all it is not too hard to have set of TT in 5 way pot pre.
Secondly: I would need at least some proof that he is capable of folding 22 and 33 there. Some people just never fold sets, even if they seem semi-good.

What you are doing is essentially making them fold worse draws - ending with you winning a fairly small pot, but every time he gets it in you only have about 35%-40% equity. (EDIT: Actually even worse because very likely some of your flush outs are gone too)

In my oppinion - really no need to build this pot so big from nothing.

yup having 55 is even better cause you will be able to miss and still win the pot more often, while I am a fan of bluffing the single blocker 2 > 1
