Did I overplay AAxx in either of these hands?

Hand 1

Fish opens for 25 in MP. LAG raises to 60 in the HJ. I raise to 225 on the BTN with Ad Ah Qh Th. Both call.

Flop Qd 4s 2s. They check. I bet 300. Fish calls. LAG folds.

Turn 7d. Fish shoves for 670. I call.

Hand 2

Four limpers. LAG raises to 25 in the SB. I raise to 120 in the BB with As Ad Kd 2h. Fish calls on the BTN. LAG calls.

Flop Qs 4c 3h. LAG checks. I bet 175. Fish calls. LAG folds.

Turn 8d. I shove for 450.

Exact stacks matter a little bit but probably won't change my recommendations.

Hand 1 - i would just pot/call the flop

Hand 2- i might pot/call flop again - but this is a less obvious spot. Medium sized bets also seem reasonable.

I would pot and gii in both spots. Betting less than pot doesn’t accomplish anything.

Flop I’m betting 3/4 and calling because I have a Q.

As played;

Turn jam sucks for us, pair + diamonds, V can also have QQ seeing as he raised initially, and sometimes Q7. Maybe KKdd once in a while?

Not sure on equity if we give V pair+FD, QQ, Q7, KKdd, but my guesstimate against that range is we might have 40% on paper but I think it’s likely to be lower than that and if we exclude KKdd it’s much much lower.

We block diamond wheel wrap pretty hard.

Price is probably break even? I think it’s a fold though because I think the hands we are beating on turn check/ call quite a lot so feel like the jam is weighted more to made hands that have us in bad shape.

Hand 2 OOP with a bit less $ and with gutter I’m just potting flop and going with it.

All this being said I’m thinking in both spots solvers probably checking or betting 1/3?

Hey Moni, just wondered if you could expand on thinking for medium sized bets in this spot, thanks. Are you inducing? Are there turns you’re check folding ?

My bet sizing MW is usually 1/2 pot in spots like these. If fish is gonna call no matter how much I bet sure I guess potting is fine. Betting pot on the flop makes you really easy to play against since they can easily fold their KK gutshot and QJJ8 bdfd type hands. Our goal should be to make these hands indifferent to calling/folding.

H1: Tough task between value and multi-way pot control. Don't bet more than 1/2 Fish stack so that action is reopened if Fish shoves and LAG flats. (Although your equity in that scenario is probably not too good.)

H2: Probably just go bigger/pot and price in most calls on Turn when you go all-in. I guess it's possible that V may fold Turn, but it's 2.5 to 1 by then. GL
