even more crazy is how teams can advance in the world cup by concluding a game with a tie.

Between 2007-2010 28.5 percent of World Cup first round games have ended in a draw.

Booooooooooooooring.
I remember that, nothing but draws in the 2007 world cup. So boring

baseball is much more interesting than euro football. so is football, hockey, and pretty much every other major sport. i don't like basketball much but it's still better.

Agree. 2007 was a terrible year for World Cup soccer.

soccer is so f far ahead of every other sport in terms of playability and watchability for me. tennis is a distant second.

The was no world cup in 2007.

My personal ranking of sports in terms of watchability:

1. Tennis
2. Football
3. Basketball
4. Rugby
5. Golf
6. American Football
7. Cricket

Bear in mind, I am generally keen on US sports and follow NFL/NBA closely, but american football just takes too damn long, and basketball only really gets good in the 4th quarter alot of the time.

Tennis is a clear winner for me - constant action, high intensity, mind-blowing ability and many great rivalries make it a superb spectacle.

Well, I'm from the UK. I am more involved and interested in american sports than most here, yet I never really took a keen following to baseball. It looks pretty cool to play, and I have watched it some, but again it is extremely slow and there rarely seem to be close thrilling matches. I can understand alot of people's disregard of cricket. It was the sport I first played as a kid, and I got very good at it. I love to play it, but it speaks for itself that this sport I am so fond of is ranked fairly lowly in my books in terms of watchability. Having said that it is a great sport to go and watch live on a summers day with friends, and just chill and get drunk (I imagine watching baseball live to be something similar - but not a TV spectacle imo).

Lovely gif. Remember seeing that show on YouTube.

Football
Floorball
Hockey

Don't really care for the rest, unless there's Finns involved.

A game somewhat similar to hockey, popular in Finland and Sweden, also relatively popular in middle Europe. Played 5-5, in a 40m x 20m rink, with a plastic, hollow ball with holes in it.

Here's some video of goals from a match to give you an idea.

Some guys concentrate on the trickery.
