I came back to poker after a few rough personal months. I have always wanted to try this strategy so figured now is the time to do it. Take winnings and place it on highest limit table you can find and keep moving up. I had gotten $4 free bucks from the website and put it on a highest table for the lowest buy-in of $4. Went head to head against a player with $20 stack. Took his stack and now had $20 as the player sat out. I then took all $20 and placed it on the highest table that allowed a $20 buy in - a $50 table. Went on a helluva heater and won $183. Thought about putting it on a $200 to $500 table but wanted the profit. Took out $150 to my bank account and had $33 left. Turned that into $65 today. Took out another $50 and have $15 left. I am going to keep trying that strategy and next time I win over $100 its all going on a $400 to $500 table - assuming there is a next time. No more buying in with max funds. Now be the low guy at the table. Easy to go all-in....

Here is my history copied directly from the poker site: started with a $4.05 buy-in and ended that evening with $183.75

11/15/21, 10:46 PM EST Leave Table 183.75 183.75

11/15/21, 6:34 PM EST Leave Table 20.6 20.6
11/15/21, 6:29 PM EST Table Buy-in -4.05 0

Below are some of the hands I played. Note winnings - this snip adds up to maybe $90. I can find the other $100 if you want further proof. If I said I won thousands off a $4 buy in that would look shady. $183 is very possible when all the big money hands hit your cards. I've never gotten this lucky before:

being short stack can have some advantages. you can get all in, and not have to face large turn or river bets. and your opponents will often shrug call against you since its not a lot of money in absolute terms. but there are disadvantages too, you pay a lot of rake since you dont reach the rake cap as often and miss out on a lot of value when you make a strong hand.

Here is a bunch more hands. I have no idea how to copy an image - I can only cut and paste text. The images show everything but there is no way to point to a URL on a poker website. Believe me, don't believe me, it does not matter. If you think anyone is going to go to the trouble of manufacturing the below for strangers on a website for all of a win under $200 then its not my problem.

I used to buy in short and that did not work out so well. So I bought for max at tables and I went on a winning streak. Then after two months just went up and down so finally stopped. Then I thought I'd try being the short stack one more time and killed it last Monday with that heater. You're right about the loss during strong hands,, however, in Omaha, have found it can be pretty easy to triple up.

You must be playing on global poker. That’s the only website I know of that puts players in god mode after a break.

I don't know why this seems so unbelievable. With good play, a bit of luck and being on the good side of the curve, I see no reason why this wouldn't be possible, especially when it's getting pushed to a higher stake. $20 in a $40 isn't that big of stretch and neither is $40 into $80 and so on.

I'm sure plenty of people know stories like this and while it's a different game, the same principle applies. A guy I work with turned $100 into 12k playing craps. How did he do this? He just kept letting it ride. With PLO, I'd argue that you have a bit more control over your destiny than craps but still, a very plausible story.

Congrats on the run, Sam.

LOL! Let me guess - you're a Nigerian prince who wants to deposit 8 million dollars in his account?

JR, exactly correct. I have not played there for awhile. I kept using the daily free sweeps they give you until it added up to $4 minimum to get onto an Omaha table.

Thanks anon. I'm trying to replicate my first run but have busted out 3 times (all of $20 spent). This is absolutely possible to do. I just put $4 down and turned it into $13. Why not place the $13 into a $20 or $40 table...With a good run can triple up, then place on $50 or $100 table. I seem to do better with Omaha Hi only instead of H/L, but this time just used H/L to get the $4 up.
