Villain is 81/41/1 over ~100 hands, he also folds river to a c-bet 100% although this is over a very small sample. The river raise made very little sense to me but value raises I struggle to see. Obviously playing such a large range I think that all small pocket pairs are in range but KK and AA can be disregarded (he 3-bets 6%).

Opinions?

Preflop you can 3bet this hand in general against a BTN open, especially one that has such loose-aggressive stats as this one.

maybe he made aces and eights? perhaps we can extrapolate from his preflop aggression to a generally aggressive nature?

Pretty much always 3b this to a min-open and never folding river.

@ OP: Why are you discounting AA and KK because he 3b pre 6% when he was the one that opened pre? Also, the fact he checked flop IP is by far a better indicator that he can't have AA/KK. Even if he wasn't opener and didn't 3b the fact he 3b 6% doesn't mean he's always doing that with KK or AA. In fact, many players with low-medium 3b% will only 3b their really good AA/KK hands.

Def 3 bet this premium pre to the loose button opener. As far as river goes, I can't find a fold here for a min raise.

3bet preflop, call the min raise river.

i think you should probably also lead the flop. it's tempting to try to check raise with this gin flop, but I don't like to try to check raise the guy who is last to act in a three way pot too much. i'd much rather try to check raise if the guy in between us had the initiative pre, since if he decides to check the button could still bet. and definitely 3 bet this beautiful hand pre.

I'm calling. With that said, I don't recall ever calling a river raise (whether min-raise or larger) and winning the hand at these stakes; no matter how unlikely given the board and action, they always seem to have it.

Likely different at higher stakes where people are bluff-raising the river more, although I expect a bluff raise might be sized a bit larger unless the bluffer believes he is rebluffing missed draw vs bluffed missed draw, in which case sizing doesn't matter so much.
