I flop top 2 with back door clubs and gutshot.
I check anticipating the UTG raiser to GAI for less than pot and then acting after seeing the subsequent action. But intend being aggressive at dead money callers.

To my dismay UTG checks, button pots and SB GAI.

This could be a clear fold or a clear call depending on table dynamics. If everyone's been playing nice and snug and we haven't seen an all-in for a while and no-one's tilting, there's no dismay, there's delight at being able to get away from your hand this cheaply. However, if everyone's tilting their faces off and looking for spots to get their money in drawing thin, then it's a slamdunk call. Without any individual or table reads it's way too much money to be getting in with a hand that could easily be dominated both ways even HU let alone 3 ways. You checked for specific action to happen, it didn't happen, you got more action than you bargained for, so no dismay, just pitch it and be justifiably annoyed when you would have scooped but remind yourself it was a good fold without being result-oriented.

FYI you have a double gutshot, the Q gives you a (non-nut) K-high straight and the 8 gives you the nut, Q-high straight.

You read this hand better than I did. I had only been at the table for 1/2 hour and so didn’t have a feel for insanity levels. As it turns out both had mega wraps.

The run out was 2 low cards and I would have scooped a monster.

Pretty standard fold, Hero is dominated by too many hands and combo draws have plenty of equity. Hero is too deep to get it in without better nut potential.
