Double Board Bomb Pot Double Board Bomb Pot

Playing a $25 double board bomb pot. Had just tripled up against the villain when I flopped top set and got it all-in against two people.

I'm first to act with AcQs8c7s.
7 people. Pot is $175. Villain is effective stack at $4200.

Top Board: Qd Tc 8d
Bottom Board: Kh Th 3c

Folded to villain in cutoff who bets $125. Button folds. I have top/bottom on top board with backdoor straight and nut clubs. Bottom board I have gutshot to broadway and back door nut clubs.
I decide with two pair on top and gut shot on bottom to call.
Everyone else folds. Pot is $425.

Top Board: Jc
Bottom board: Js

Top board give me a K to straight and nut club draw. Bottom board I now have the nuts.
I decide to go ahead and bet small and make it $300. Villain raises it to $1325 leaving an effective stack of $2775.

Here is where I have a problem: I doubt I have best hand on top but have 13 outs. 8 clubs 2 kings, 2 queens and 2 eights although the queens and eights may be counterfeit. But I have nuts on bottom. I could be chopping on bottom and have to worry about hearts or board pairing.

Obviously I can't fold when I have the nuts on one board and 32% equity on the other. Question I have is that I have an image of only putting in money with a nut range so should I call and hope I hit the top and dodge the bottom or shove and put the pressure on him to call an all-in. Most likely he has the straight on top board or very possible TT9x where he has a straight and set on top with a set on bottom.

If I just call, pot will be $3075.
If I go all-in, pot will be $5850 with $2775 for him to call.

Result to follow.

Check-fold flop imo. Your equity on bottom board is just too low to justify a call even with 2p. Also 2p on a wet board that can't make the nuts until the river, so even when Hero boats up he may still sometimes lose to bigger boats.

As played, would just shove the turn. There is a decent chance you are equity favorite.

It is so easy for him to have nut straight on both boards here. GL.

yep. against a competent villain you can easily be getting quartered on the turn and be up against a better redraw on the 2nd board. you really don't want to be piling in money here, but on the other hand, there are a lot of rivers that are going to be really hard to play or get paid on when you hit. i guess i'm getting it in as played but i don't really like it.

I have a confession. On the turn, I didn't actually lead out and bet. On the flop, I knew I had the gutshot on bottom board but thought I only had top pair on top and was going to fold. I realized I had two pair on top and decided since we were $4200 effective and the bet was only $125, I'd see the turn. When the bottom board came in and the Jc giving me some equity on top, I thought about leading but decided to just check call his bet of $225.

Pot: $875

River:

Top Board: 2c
Bottom Board: 5s

Perfect runout for me giving me nuts on both boards. Because the top board was now 3 flush, I knew he wouldn't bet so I led out for $500. He instantly and angrily threw his cards into the muck. He started racking up and saying that I had a 9 and that I cost myself a lot of money and left the table pissed off. That is why I posted about leading $300 on the turn and him raising the pot to see if it would have made sense. Obviously, because of the runout, I wish I had gotten it all-in on the turn. I wholeheartedly agree that leading there is bad because I have no backup on the bottom board not to mention that I am almost always beat on top. Realistically, I probably even fold the turn if I don't pick up any equjity on top even with the nuts on the bottom.
