interesting.

lets say you forget to feed the dog, and it gets really really hungry.
and by babies, I'm talking about infants.

Human eat meat too. Make sure you don't leave your dog alone with humans, they might eat it if they get hungry.

And yes, what cbt said.

If you're around, you think the dog wouldn't let you know?

And you should be around, I don't think it's good for either the dog or the infant to leave them alone together like that.

if you forget to feed the dog for a meal or a day or whatever he'll usually let you know by coming up to you or barking at you or whatever, not by eating your baby. i guess maybe if you don't feed it for a really long extended period of time and are still around it and ignore all other signs and the baby is there and the dog wasn't trained much at all it might maybe... maaaaaaaaaaaaybe? but even then it might just starve itself to death before eating the baby. dogs are so loyal.

maybe i underestimated a dog's intelligence and empathy levels.

just a thought provoked from pictures with an infant and a dog 5 times their size and thinking 'does the parent feel safe about that situation?'

if anyone would be crazy enough to lock a baby with a starved dog that's familiar with this baby for an extended period of time I'd bet on a dog to just starve to death

human would prob snap eat it though

Cats wouldn't even wait to starve to start eating the baby.

i read that a cat left alone in a house will eat its deceased owner within 24 hours and the dog would starve to death
cant remember where i read it or the validity of the source though

Coroner's 'nightmare': Dog dismembers 2-month-old child

Abandoned for two weeks, starving dogs eat owner

i think you guys give animals a bit too much credit with these generalisations.

That video is mental. Especially considering how close other people and adults are. Must be one hungry bird!

Girl I went to school with, when she was little they had lived abroad in China. They were going out of town and had set things up with their neighbor to take care of their dog. They dropped it off during the day while the neighbors were at work, only the grandma was there. The grandma didn't speak english and didn't know of the arrangement, she cooked him up before the neighbors got home from work.

Had some recent Vietnamese immigrants move near us when I was a kid and a handful of dogs went missing within 6 months.

oddson: The worst thing about a downswing is not actually losing X amount of money/buy-ins (even though that does hurt a bit) but it can actually be a disaster for your game as you start adjusting your game and come up with new styles, testing new strategies etc. When you are in a downswing or after you have been in one, you could basically be playing a whole different style than what you used to be playing. This is the hardest part to adjust to during a downswing, as you need to focus a lot of attention in trying to keep your game balanced in the same way as before however difficult it may be.
i wish i had the wisdom to figure this on my own. tested new things during DS which made things worse which eventually made me quit

My father is very supportive. He calls me several times during the week and asks how the games have been, how I have been doing, how the other regs have been doing etc. He even used to ask specifically about how that “man with the hat” [patpatman] is doing lol. He also installed Pokerstars onto his laptop so he can sit and rail me from time to time. I remember one day I got a text saying: "Be careful now, that Ilari guy likes to play big pots". That really made me laugh.
